Yama Sushi Bar & Chinese Food — Restaurant in Glen Rock

Been here quite a few times and tonight was by far the worst experience for a place I thought had ok sushi. First problem I bit into the sushi and pulled a staple out of my mouth as seen in the photo. I’m sure I didn’t see that on the menu. Thank god my daughter or a guest didn’t get the roll I did. Second the Naruto roll was not fresh and very runny like eggs. This should not be the case as fresh sushi should not leak and leave pools of liquid. I honestly threw most of the food away because my health is wealth. Suffice it to say I will not be going back. I don’t want to be critical but this is unacceptable. If I get sick I will be contacting the health department. I won’t even bother calling them...

Great sushi, clean place and very friendly and polite staff. Sashimi pieces are big. The Chinese food is also very wonderful and tasty here and they don't add a lot of sauce, which is fantastic! Down side of their Chinese food is that they always leave you wanting more with VERY STINGY portions. As an example, at $10.55 a quart you'll get 1/2 the portion size then at any other place - when taken out of the container it ends up being only a quart! Second time I've ordered Beef or Chicken and broccoli from them and disappointed with the very small portions....

$@&&ing love this place. Pick up times are shorter if you call versus using the app. Service is always fast and friendly. Food is fresh and flavorful. We’ve tried other places and don’t even consider them anymore. This is our got to for Chinese and sushi.

Updating my review to say that: The owners are strong supporters of our local community. I’ve witnessed them always adding in something extra for our first responders. Similarly, customer loyalty is reciprocated in big ways every time we visits....
