I used to love coming here. I held my best friends engament party here June 2023. Unfortunately, this year has been nothing but disappointment for me. I used to always sit at the bar, and I was never charged for refill of coffee if my mother wanted. We came in probably back in February of this year, and at that time I was newly pregnant, so my mother and I sat at a table instead. I ordered 2 sprites, and she had "decaf coffee". She had probably 3 or 4 cups, because again, when we sat at the bar, she would never be charged refill for coffee. When we got the bill I was shocked that about $30 of our bill was in 2 sodas and decaf coffee. When I asked to speak to the manager explaining on the menu, it doesn't say there are no free refills, and from our previous experiences here, we had never been charged for coffee refill at the bar, his response was "well no where on the menu does it say that there ARE FREE refills". So I said "you basically expect your clientele to assume". I believe that was a very unprofessional response. He took off the refills so we were only charged one cup of coffee and 1 soda. When we got home, probably 2 hours after, my mother was wired and could not sleep that whole night. She was having heart palpitations which means she wasn't even given decaff that day at all.
Let's fastfoward to this past Sunday on 10/26/24. Because this isn't the only place that has given her regular coffee when specifically asked for decaff due to her condition, she brings her own instant decaf travel packets wherever she goes now just to be safe, and will simply ask for hot water instead. This is exactly what we did, and the server asked "well do you want TEA"? And we said no just a cup of hot water, no lemon. My son is now little over 2 months, so I was able to enjoy beverages with no worries. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, and I had 4 beverages total. YI u can guess the bill was pretty high. When we got the check, again, I was shocked we were charged $8 for 2 cups of hot water which they labeled as TEA. When I informed the waitress, my mother never had tea here, all she asked for was hot water, her response was "well we charged for the hot water because it takes time to boil". I asked to then speak to the manager and she said we'll let me talk to him first and see what I can do. She comes back and says they removed the hot water, but next time we come back she will be charged, because she brought in her own decaf packets. I told her if that was the case, you should have been transparent with us from the beginning that we would be charged for that, instead of saying "well it takes time to boil the hot water". It is more understandable to charge someone for bringing an "outside beverage" VS because it takes time to boil hot water.
With all this being said, the transparency of their prices is not true. I have no problem paying for things, especially working in the resturant industry myself for 18 years now. If there are not free refills, and it is not stated in the menu, you should really let your clientele know. If you're going to charge them for hot water because a customer is brining in their own decaf coffee, then you should let that be known in the beginning. I don't compare resturants because I know every restaurant is different, I just ask for transparency without "sarcastic" responses when...

Read moreI had the misfortune of dining at this restaurant for the first time last Friday, and I must say it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I strongly advise against patronizing this restaurant, as my encounter left a bitter taste in my mouth. First and foremost, let's talk about the food. It was evident that little care or attention was put into the preparation of the meal. For the prices they charge, one would expect at least decent meal, but sadly, that was not the case. Moving on to the staff, I was deeply disturbed by the energy they exuded. From the moment I walked in, I my wife & I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. The staff's demeanor suggested a blatant disregard for customer service, and to make matters worse, they emanated what I can only describe as racist energy. However, the most egregious part of my experience came when I discovered unauthorized charges on my card. Upon reviewing my bank statement, I noticed that the restaurant had charged me more than what was stated on the receipt. When I called to inquire about the discrepancy, the staff displayed an appalling attitude, brushing off my concerns and insisting that without the receipt, there was nothing they could do. This dismissive response reeked of dishonesty and deceit, as I had authorized the amount stated on the receipt and nothing more. Charging customers extra without their consent is not only unethical but tantamount to theft. Furthermore, upon further investigation, I found similar complaints from other patrons who had also been overcharged after leaving the premises. This pattern of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the integrity of the establishment. In conclusion, my experience at this restaurant was nothing short of a nightmare. From the food to the discriminatory treatment and unauthorized charges, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and dine elsewhere, where you will be treated with the respect and honesty...
