OK so I have owned 5 restaurants and I am currently opening a food truck and a 6th restaurant, these reviews are something I don't do and don't take lightly , we were a party of 6 people our experience started with the waitress spilling a full glass of water on 1 woman in our party ,ice a full glass of ice and water , ok so accident, s happen, I say this happened because it's only 1 part of experience, so we ordered ,I ordered halibut fish n chips ,it was 26 dollars ,but I love halibut ,so I got it ,what came out was 3 tiny pieces of fish ,and just looking at it I said this isn't halibut,I bit into it and sure enough it's cod , now for cod it was fine but what's not fine is 3 tiny prices of cod for 26 dollars ,total fish was approx 6 ounces ,what's not fine is selling cod for halibut .!!!!! Next my wife ordered the elk and and fries ,when she cut it in half blood ran all over the plate ,it was completely raw raw raw ,so raw the internal temperature wasn't over room temperature, needless to say she didn't eat it ,it took quite a while to get her attention finally I took the plate to her and told her this is raw ,she got upset and told me that's the way it's always cooked my wife at this point said just forget cooking another o e ,we don't have another hour we must be somewhere, so another person had the french dip ,she was kind enough to give my wife half her and. Because she can't eat it anyways, my wife took 1 bite and couldn't go any further ,the roast beef was like beef Jerky , no exaggeration, so I went up to pay and after I asked to make sure my wife's was removed from check I noticed she still charged for ff,s , I said omg you still charged for the fries ,my wife didn't eat the fries they had blood soaked on them ,she ate zero from that plate sent the whole thing back, the fries remained on the check ,unbelievable to me so I payed the check and left no tip ,this place should be avoided at all cost , over priced food , God awful services, rude uncaring management, and sell cod for...
Read moreOwner/Bartender Chased her Regular Customer Out for Giving Honest Feedback About the Food Served.
My friend, who’s a regular customer at this establishment, and I went to Fenders for lunch and had a truly bizarre experience. We ordered the Jalapeno Poppers, Hail Mary Breakfast with a "surprise me" meat and hash browns fried on both sides, and the Fenders burger medium rare.
First, the Jalapeno Poppers weren’t what we expected. Instead of being crumb-coated and deep-fried, they were fresh. We decided to take them home and asked for a box. No big deal.
Next, the Hail Mary Breakfast came with severely burnt bacon that seemed like it had been cooked and recooked from days prior. The hash browns also fell apart because they weren’t fried on both sides. My Fenders burger was not medium rare as I ordered—it was medium well with no pink in sight.
We told our waitress about the Jalapeno Poppers, saying we'd just take them home, and she seemed understanding. However, when we mentioned the burnt bacon and underdone hash browns, she called the owner/bartender over.
The owner came out ready to attack, accusing us of claiming they served three-day-old bacon, which we never intended literally—it was just a figure of speech to describe how bad the bacon was. She insisted we were being difficult and rude.
My friend calmly explained our experience, yet the owner/bartender rudely responded, "Well maybe this isn't the right place for you." When my friend told her we wouldn’t come back, she grabbed the steak knife from my burger, took my plate which I was still eating from, and stormed back to the kitchen.
As a restaurant manager myself, I found this behavior completely unacceptable. I was willing to pay for everything else I personally ordered, including the burger I was eating, but her hostile reaction ensured we’ll never return. She’s lost not only us but also my friend’s family, workplace, and anyone in this small town.
This was a truly bizarre and disappointing experience. Avoid Fenders if you value good service and...
Read moreYum! Drinks we're yummy, friendly atmosphere, food was definitely flavorful! ** Updated Review: I've eatten here a few times now and feel like an update is needed, First The owner Gabby is beyond sweet and I appreciate her strong drive to provide the best customer service ❤️. ( Went out to eat and we had 3 adults and 6 children, 2 babys, 6,8,8,15. My pasta came out cold( like ice cold) Not a big deal as I was stuffed from the appetizer and decided to bring it home anyways. Tipped our waitress 30% and thanked her emmensly for her service. The next day realized our check had a $30 service fee, called confused and gabby took care of us in a big way♡. Went in today for mother day excited to try there stuffed french toast, was told they didnt have french toast, bummed but ordered a waffle, 40 mins later I see a huge berry filled platter of french toast walk by... ask our server to be told its a special you have to ask for( not sure how when we didnt know it was a special and its not on the menu, plus i was told they didnt serve french toast =/..) So I ordered it togo. Now our breakfast, we were all so excited after hearing and seeing amazing reviews, our kids food came out 15 mins before ours did, husband chiken fried steak was hard ( way way over cooked and dry), my sons eggs weren't cooked and his toast burnt, all the toast was black for everyone actually, the potatoes were yummy, waffle was dry and over cooked, could barely cut it and my mothers waffles and chicken came out cold. Now our waitress was amazing and even got my daughter whipped cream for her waffle. My son and fathers omelets were the smallest ive ever seen which was odd, everyone else got huge platters. Then that service fee, was once again there, which I now know they add automatically and count small children towards the total of 8 which the automatically add an 18% tip, wish I would have know so I could have just tipped more cash, I hate tipping with a card and prefer to give cash, but they wouldn't let us adjust.( they need to explain this...
