TJ Chumps — Restaurant in Fairborn

For our Valentine's Day dinner, my fiancé and I decided to order bacon cheese fries and fried cheese sticks. Our order was to be ready at 6:04. When I walked in to pick up our order and said our name, the hostess said the name to another worker who immediately said without even checking, "It isn't ready yet. We're behind." I thought it was strange that she refused to look at me when she said it and said it to the hostess for her to tell me, despite the fact they were both standing in front of me. I decided not to think much of it and stood to the side waiting. Finally, 30 minutes after our order was supposed to be ready, I decided to back up to the host stand and ask if there was an ETA. The girl I talked to was very sweet and asked the same girl who wouldn't look at me. She, again, said it was not ready without even checking. She then told me again that they were behind. I told her I understand that but our order only consisted of fries and cheese sticks. She was extremely rude and rushed off to have a manager check.The manager, who obviously was not happy to have to help me, walked over and the order was sitting there ready. Had anyone ever checked rather than simply saying "It's not ready yet," I would not have had to wait 30+ minutes for two items. The manager was extremely rude as she practically threw the order to me, not making sure I had the order before she let go of it. We then drove the 4 minute drive to our home where the order was cold (considering it had set for 30+ minutes). As we began eating our food, it tasted awful, to the point where we couldn't even eat it. This is the second time we have had a 30+ minute wait for our carry-out order with rude employees. It is simply not worth it. I would NEVER recommend to anyone...

My family had invited me to come out as I was in town visiting. I am a traveling nurse who misses out on a lot of family time. I didn't think I was going to be able to stop by but at the last minute I found myself with some extra minutes to spare. I had a personal pizza from Cassano's with me (4 pieces, very small) and decided to pop in for a few minutes while I ate. I didn't have time to order at Chumps or I happily would have done so. As soon as I sat down at the table their waitress Sam came up to me and asked me to leave. Sam stated it was a health code violation to have me eat my food inside. While I understand it's not polite to bring outside food in this wasn't a large pizza and I wasn't offering food to their patrons or even my family. We have had many celebrations at Chumps in the past and brought in cakes, cookies, chips and other deserts. Why is it this time, with minimal patrons in the restaurant would I be asked to leave. This obviously upset my mother who was seated at the table and she begged the waitress Sam to let me stay. Needless to say I had been on the road for hours and was starving so I left to eat my 4 piece 6" pizza. This was very embarrassing and disappointing for all of us and will think twice before returning to...

Someone said let's get a burger but not from a fast food place. I suggested chumps. Nice parking. We were greeted and sat quickly. The hostess was nice enough to make sure we were happy with booth location. There was a large party next to us and they were just finishing up. There was a big mess left behind on the tables and floors. In the blink on an eye there was a young lady there cleaning everything and she was fast. Our waitress was good, quick attentive. We ordered cheese sticks and a couple burgers with cheddar. The cheese sticks were good. They were served with marinara sauce top with shredded cheese. The burgers were outstanding. They taste like you cooked them on your backyard grill. The burgers are thick and full of flavor. The fries were standard tasting fries. Drink refills were prompt. The place was busy. The staff was hustling. No table stayed dirty. From where we were sitting we could see the entire place except the outdoor seating. Everyone was working real hard. The young woman who cleaned the big party's mess seemed to be leading the way. On the way out I heard her tell the staff that she was going to take over for the manager for the night. Sat. July 13.
