Artie's — Restaurant in Fairfax

We came here for my son's 4th birthday on a Monday around 5ish we came in with 4 adults 3 kids and a baby stroller. The service was sub-par at best we were seated in the back at the top so needed to carry the stroller up the small flight of stairs, and They informed us the table only seats 6 but we can squeeze when we arrived to the back it was 2 tables side by side I thought we were getting both. We sat started with our waiter who we liked, and another came over told us he ( our original waiter) was new asked us all to squeeze at one table which was vapid as no one came to the end of our meal! Also our meal was very chaotic as all the meals were served on bigs plates so were all fighting for space at the table it was very tight. I had to try and keep my baby stroller out of way for the the other table it promotes family friendly but it's not. We were never offered high chairs or booster seats it's no kids menus for the kids to play with they knew it was my son's birthday no one tried to sing him Happy Birthday. He actually picked this restaurant we could have went somewhere else and paid less for a better experience Not Family Friendly! And the drinks were weak as well and that was unfortunately reflected in our tip and we don't like that our original waiter was removed because he was very nice after we were asked to squeeze to one table by the other server we never seen the original one again without explanation and last I would have left as soon as I did not like the vibe but I did not want to mess up my son's Birthday as he can't see...

Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. We were denied a table due to an error made by the staff, who refused to acknowledge that they had failed to record our reservation. We had called ahead to book a table for Valentine’s Night, yet when we arrived, the hostess was unable to find it. Even after we provided our call log as proof that we had contacted the correct location, we were met with indifference.

The staff were fully aware that we were there for a Valentine’s dinner and that finding another reservation last minute would be difficult, yet they showed no concern or willingness to help. We would not claim to have a reservation without reason—especially after providing clear proof of our call and the time spent on the phone.

Adding to the frustration, the employee who took our reservation over the phone repeatedly asked us to confirm our number, which strongly suggests an error on their end. We had a confirmed 9:30 reservation, yet we were left searching for another restaurant because of their failure to properly record our details.

This experience was frustrating and completely avoidable with better attention to detail and customer service. While working on a holiday can be challenging, that does not excuse a lack of professionalism or care for customers. Will never recommend this place or ever return here again. Karma...

Roasted toasted freaking Goat Cheese Salad is everything I somehow sensed I needed without knowing how I'd love it so very much at first bite!!! (🥗 & 👁️ 🤲🏿 booking a DishRanAway witta SpoonRoom as we speak, seeing as the kind, dashing waiter, Jorgé, was a little young for my taste🦉😆 What a brave sweet man serving others in a most classy, down-to-earth way. Enjoying another flavor, crunchy sweet roasted pecans & craisins, dates... on to another flavor, MF'n basil-marinated-cherry tomatoes, homemade croutons, OMG Lobster Bisque Soup on Holy Grail of Wu Tang level Creaminess. Ughhhnnn even the Toast n Butter is fancily fashioned with herbs & grilled fancy breads every bite was packed with Freshness & Flavors like the chefs hands heard my prayers & even amidst this Snowstorm...Artie's team sure did SquadUp, Stand & Deliver the Most Savory, Satisfying, Saucer Flying, MeanAss Meal I've had in YEARS 🙏✨😇✨💜🎶 God Bless You ALL, Thank You for Keeping The Community You Serve Well-Fed, Esp.
