Walking into this Ledo was one of the oddest restaurant experiences of our lives. The sign out front had hours noting they closed at 1PM but the “open” sign was on so we walked in. We asked the gentleman behind the counter if they were open and we got a “yes” in response (essentially the only word said to us during our stay). Half the lights were off in the dining room (which we were the only people sitting in) which brought on a lot of questions amongst ourselves. Our friend had to use the restroom so made her way into the darkness and…alas, the door was locked. We asked if she could use the bathroom and he said yes and unlocked it (she later found there to be no toilet paper present). The gentleman walked back through the dining room and past our table without saying anything. All three of us felt our business was not wanted (were they trying to close early? Did they hate us? Did they not realize we were in a restaurant they were running?) and in feeling more uncomfortable than we ever have in a restaurant setting we decided to leave. I am sure it seemed we needed an excuse to use the bathroom (but that was not the case - we drove a further ~15 minutes to the Ledo Vienna location - highly recommend - and had a great time). When we left the gentleman stood at the window and watched us for a while. Odd. It was all odd. It seemed the gentleman couldn’t understand why we would have left the half-lit restaurant with no customers or TP in which we hadn’t been welcomed to or spoken to unprompted. If you’re in the location and craving Ledo I highly recommend the Vienna location. If you’re an employee of this location and reading this review I highly recommend taking a few extra steps to make the environment friendly...
Read moreI never write reviews but I just had the craaziest experience trying to order from here. I tried to order online an hour before close and the system was not working. I then directly called the store to place an order 45 minutes before close and the person who answered the phone was extremely put out about it. He kept repeating how he had to close but at that point the close time was 45 minutes away so I was confused as to why he was implying I was doing something wrong...
He told me I needed to be there before 9pm which I said was no problem (I was up the street). I couldn’t understand something he said so I asked him to repeat it and he started getting agitated and aggressive about it. He then told me he couldn’t process the order over the phone unless he had my full credit card information (card number, exp date, cvv, and zip code). I was confused as to why I couldn’t pay in store and told him I wasn’t comfortable giving him the security code over the phone. He then told me he could only place the order if I came into the store within the next 10 minutes and at that point I didn’t feel comfortable walking in there alone with how he was acting towards me. It felt weirdly sketchy.
Ive worked in the service industry and I really empathize with wanting to get out of there at the end of the night. But i usually reserve my frustration for those who walk in at close and i definitely wouldn’t be aggressive towards a customer because they felt uncomfortable giving out the security code on their credit card!!!!
Really hope this wasn’t the manager because of how...
Read moreI’ve been to other Ledo Pizza restaurants and had wonderful experiences and really fantastic food. The Ledo restaurant in Fairfax was very disappointing! First of all, no one welcomed us when we arrived, and the server didn’t speak to us. No welcome… no asking what we wanted to drink… No telling us of specials. The server did not introduce himself or do anything to make us feel like we were wanted in his establishment. He simply came over to the table and stood there waiting for us to speak. Creepy! We ordered the chicken and artichoke bruschetta. When it came, there was no trace of chicken in the mix, and there was very little mix on each piece of toasted bread. It was very sad. You can see in the picture just how little mix was on the bread. Then, our pizza came. The dough was dense and flat. We suspect that it was baked too quickly and at too high of a temperature. It was not burnt, but clearly the dough had not been given ample time to rise. Additionally, we ordered half of the pizza with toppings and half with plain cheese. The half with toppings was about ¾ of the pizza. This Ledo Pizza does not live up to the Ledo Pizza reputation. Very sad!!! NOTE: We would have sent both the appetizer and the pizza back if we had not been in a bit of a hurry. We had an appointment to get to. Thus, we didn’t complain, although, we would have if we’d had time to wait. Plus, it didn’t seem like there was any love being given to the food prep. Food tastes different when it’s prepared with passion...
