We visited the cafe's Main Street location and had a positive experience, so when we learned about the new location on US-29 in Fairfax, we were eager to try it. Our visit today was enjoyable.

We ordered two breakfast sandwiches: an avocado and egg on a bagel and an Irish sandwich on a brioche bun. Both were freshly made and quite tasty; the breads were fluffy and warm, contrasting to some colder, denser options we’ve encountered elsewhere. The coffee was strong and creamy, featuring a nice subtle acidity from the beans, which we appreciated. However, we found the blueberry scone to be somewhat dry and not as memorable, while the red velvet muffin with white chocolate was satisfactory but not exceptional. We appreciated the efficient service, which allowed us to enjoy our meals promptly.

This recently opened cafe has a bright and clean ambiance. Its impressive high ceiling and spacious seating area are furnished with comfortable chairs. Additionally, power outlets are available by the window, which is a thoughtful touch for those who want to work on-site.

UPDATE, 03-30-2025 We recently revisited the establishment, now under new management, and were quite impressed by the decor and the extensive selection of bakery items available, including cakes, croissants, macarons, pastries, buns, danishes, and more. Our breakfast experience was notably enjoyable, particularly with the Morning Stack breakfast sandwich, which we found exceptional. The coffee drinks were of high quality, flavorful, and not diluted, leading us to purchase additional pastries for our afternoon snacks.

Among the dishes we would highlight is the Morning Stack breakfast sandwich, which features scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheddar cheese, spinach, tomato, and sriracha mayo on a brioche bun—it’s genuinely outstanding! Also noteworthy is the Baconado breakfast sandwich, incorporating scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon, and smashed avocado on a choice of bread; we opted for the brioche, which complemented the flavors beautifully. The White Mocha Latte stood out as a rich and sweet option, while the hot latte, made with whole milk, offered an excellent balance of creaminess and subtle acidity from the coffee beans. For desserts, we enjoyed the Strawberry Cream Croissant and Basque Cheesecake, which paired wonderfully with the coffee drinks and provided a satisfying end to our breakfast at this new bakery cafĂ©.

We also appreciated the attentive service and the decor enhancements, which now include more comfortable seating options and a clean, spacious interior that adds to the...

[UPDATED REVIEW]

I’ve been a regular at this cafĂ© for almost a year now, and I never get tired of telling people it’s the best bakery I know.

They’re always innovating, always offering so many options — and the most amazing thing is that everything tastes so good!

Since becoming Bakery Museum, they’ve grown even more, and it’s no wonder they’re always packed and everyone in the area goes there. You simply can’t beat their prices and QUALITY! Not even older cafĂ©s with ‘established’ names deliver as consistently as they do, even though they’re pretty new.

I actually learned to enjoy matcha here, and now I’m obsessed with their Pink Matcha, Matcha Cloud, and the new Mango Matcha!!!

I also feel like everything they make is on another level — an upgrade from anywhere else. At other cafĂ©s the drinks taste watery, but here everything is full of flavor. Their Fall menu is amazing! I literally wake up craving their Biscoff and Pistachio lattes. 😂

All in all, it’s definitely worth it! Keep up the great work!

Best coffee I’ve ever had!!! ❀

I loved the atmosphere of this place. It’s so spacious, well-decorated, with super friendly and welcoming staff, and the coffee is amazing!

I prefer sweeter coffees, and they recommended the Cubano, which was super good and flavorful. But the funniest part was when my husband ordered the Dirty Hippie, and (as always) I asked to try his. Surprisingly, I LOVED it! It has green tea (which I usually don’t like because it tastes too much like grass), but it was SO GOOD that I ended up drinking mine and finishing his coffee too 😂 It was the first time in my life I actually enjoyed green tea 😂

I ordered the Spicy Swine sandwich, and it totally exceeded my expectations. The sriracha mayo is super yummy, and the sandwich is big and filling but still light and doesn’t make you feel heavy. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture before devouring it. Lol

Finally, I’m so thankful they were open on Christmas! It was great to have a place to go with good food on the holiday.

Merry...

I really wanted to like this place, but my experience today was one of the most frustrating and disappointing coffee shop visits I've ever had. (Order ID: CTT1P1SW4CW6C)

The problems started the moment I walked in. There is no clear signage for where to pick up online orders. I waited in the regular line, only for the cashier to dismissively tell me to go to the pick-up counter. Once there, it was like I was invisible. The baristas looked directly at me, said nothing, just talking amongst each other like at a friends get together. I finally had to politely ask for my order, they acted like I was a huge inconvenience. The attitude was palpable and completely unwelcoming.

When I did get my order, it was missing two items. Instead of helping me, the staff just pointed to another part of the store, making me feel like I was the one who had to hunt down and assemble my own paid order. The lack of basic customer service and teamwork was astounding. The entire staff behind the counter seemed entitled and acted as though fulfilling a purchase was a major hassle for them.

Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for the terrible service. I ordered the London Fog and the Dubai Strawberries; both were just "okay" and completely forgettable. I've had far better versions at other cafes for a better price. The Dirty Oat Horchata, however, was a joke. It was essentially a plain coffee with a literal sprinkle of cinnamon on top—no discernible horchata flavor whatsoever. It was so far from what was advertised that it was almost hilarious.

Save your time and money. This place is profoundly disorganized, the staff is rude, and the products are not special. There are countless better options elsewhere.

Recommended? No, the hype around this place is...

Bakery Museum & Co.: 📍11923B Lee Hwy Fairfax, VA Does this cafe have kid-friendly amenities? This spot is great if you want to grab a bit to eat and get some work done (free WiFi for the win!) We enjoyed lunch there, I had the tuna salad sandwich. Want to come back to try the chicken salad one. 😉 As far as kid-friendly amenities, here are the following: - Changing table available in one stall - High chairs available - No kids menu but plenty for food and pastries. - I wouldn’t recommend bringing a stroller due to spacing, especially on busy days like Saturday. Parking can be limited on busy days. We went a Saturday and fortunately found a spot. đŸ…żïž Customer service is great and we enjoyed it.đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ» #fyp #bakerymuseum #cafe #kidfriendly #virginiaparenting

Had their salmon bagel sandwich, and to be honest it tastes better than the ‘call your xxxxxx’ bagel sandwich. Coffee is the best in town, and their cakes and Dubai style desserts are AMAZING. Can’t believe I found this gem cafe just now. The cafe is filled with all the trendy and cool people. The line was a bit long, but it was def worth waiting!!!! I would rather visit again before it get more crowded. Strongly recommended.
