The Old Fire Station #3 — Restaurant in Fairfax

My boyfriend and I have been to this restaurant multiple times and usually are served and treated well by a taller younger man with short hair. Tonight however, was a lot different. It was specified outside of the restaurant that two of the dishes ordered were on special and adding a side Of French fries was at a discounted price as well. Not only was it on the sign outside it was also listed on a small page in the menu where we have ordered from before and have ordered the special every time so we know the pricing.

After we were finished the waiter brings the check with the normal pricing of French fries and the dishes so we asked why the prices were not the same as the specials menu pricing stated. The waiter disappeared for a few minutes and was talking to the other older short man working there. After a few minutes the waiter came back and asked us where we saw the specials and he brought a menu with him, folded the flap with the specials over so that it wasn’t visible and pointed at the normal price and said this looks right to me what do you think and walked away without our response. We pulled the special page out and showed him what it said and he said okay and took the check. However, my boyfriend got two bud lights and the price was marked at $3 each on the first incorrect check. He comes back with a new check with the food at the special price (overall a $2 difference) and we see that the bud light price was now raised to $3.50 each which is $.50 cents more than the original check given to us a few minutes before. We asked the waiter about it and he said the food is the only thing on special but we pointed out the difference between the two checks and the waiter grabbed it and just asked if we were paying with cash or credit, my boyfriend said “credit probably” and he replied with “probably?” While walking away. Another man came back with the same check but this time with a handwritten new total and no apology. My boyfriend gave them his card and the shorter older man took it to he charged. He came back with a physical dollar and his card saying that they had to charge his card the full amount but he got a dollar back due to the way the machine was set up. It was an extremely sketchy experience and just overall dissapointing due to the fact that we had been there multiple times before and knew the menu but were still treated like it was incorrect. The staff was so unapologetic and made it seem as if we were burdening them. The whole process seemed shady. it will definitely deter us...

The black guy with the mask (I'm a black woman), I don't know if he is the manager or just a waiter, but he was disrespectful, and condescending to my disabled friend last night. He was unprofessional and rude and created a stressful, unpleasant environment for us, talking about "See, the way karaoke works is this, you can't this and that" because my friend was saving some seats for our friends. He ruined karaoke night for us with his bitter attitude. He could have been professional. He then came to our table a second time and attempted to start a fight with ME after he gestured to the cups on the table and I told him they weren't mine. He tried to fight ME when I was answering his questions. He kept trying to fight us. This man is disgusting and he needs to be fired. The only reason I tipped 20% was for the woman who served us. I did not want to punish her for the behavior of that miserable man. If you hate your job, then quit it. Don't be disrespectful to the people who come in and...

I just ate at The Old Firehouse in Old Towne Fairfax restaurant a few minutes ago. It was poorly lit, dirty, the music was loud... the bar side of the restaurant was warm, but the quiet side of the restaurant was freezing cold. So we opted to seat in the bar area. There is no way this is a Greek restaurant! I ordered the traditional Gyro with Lamb and beef, onions and Tzatziki on pita. My daughter ordered stuffed eggplant. This was the worse tasting food I’ve ever had! We sent my daughters food back. After the first bite she could not stomach it. The waiter still charged me for her food. The manager said that he wasn’t sure what to do because if I didn’t pay for the rejected meal, the cost would come out of the waiters paycheck. So I ended up paying for two meals one of which was never eaten!!! Poor service. Stay away!!! Better to go...
