Do not call to try and speak to them....they will interupt you and not let you complete a sentence. Then when I asked please let me finish a sentence she hung up on me and blocked my number. I was not rude I simply asked to let me finish what I am saying because I could not put 2 words together before she kept speaking over me....I called and put my order in at another restaurant and will write a nice review about the different experience I had....common courtesy does not exist here....

  • REVISED * Hearing your response that this was a Manager who handled this call just makes it way worse for your business. A Manager with maybe some ego issue but still a Manager who does not belong in this position. The call was taken by a nice person with a pleasant voice. I did not call and ask for the Owner. I called and asked for Rosa, I was asked to hold while they checked if she was busy. This so called Manager came on and I said hello. I said hello Rosa. She responded no who is this? I said this is Robert and is Rosa available? The Manager did not Identify she was the Manager. She did not say the Owner was busy she just started asking me with a tone why I was calling. She asked me why I wanted to talk to Rosa. I said...and I got cut off before I got to my 3rd word. She said are you with a bank? I said no...but how odd to ask me that. I do not understand...I said no I am not with a bank I just ...again cut off...I then interupted and said....Please can I just complete a sentence? And I was hung up on and hte call was blocked. You can justify this anyway you want...but I would never go to your business and this so called manager with some serious ego issues should not be in the position she is...How you stated I asked for the owner several times when I could not even finish a sentence is just a...

An Absolute Hidden Gem – A Must-Visit!

La Costa Azul is hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had—and that’s saying something. Tucked away just off the freeway, it’s easy to miss, but do not pass it by. It’s a short detour that rewards you with an unforgettable meal and genuinely warm hospitality.

From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed like family. Although we weren’t familiar with the menu at first and felt a bit out of place, the incredibly friendly staff went out of their way to guide us through it, with enthusiasm and kindness. Their love for the food they serve is obvious—and it’s infectious.

And the food? Wow. Every dish came out with beautiful presentation and portions that were as generous as they were delicious. The flavors were bold, authentic, and full of heart. We’re still talking about every bite!

Now, let’s talk about that michelada mixer—absolutely the best I’ve ever had. It’s no wonder it’s award-winning. We couldn’t leave without grabbing two bottles to take home so we could relive the experience just a little longer.

The staff even checked in during the meal, and their faces lit up with pride when we raved about how incredible everything was. That genuine joy and hospitality made our visit even more special.

If you’re even remotely nearby—go. Right now. La Costa Azul is a true treasure, and we can’t wait...

My wife had a fancied a Mexican soup. We called and lucky for us they had one, so we decided to eat there.

The restaurant was clean, and modestly decorated, yet you could feel the Mexican atmosphere.

Speaking of decorations, one suggestion is to get rid of the Corona bottles filled with the radioactive looking liquid. It looked un-natural and did not make me want to grab a beer. My first instinct was to look for my portable Geiger radiation detector. Other than that The decor was nice, the restaurant was clean and the Mariachi music was playing in the background.

We judge Mexican restaurants by the quality of the salsa served with the chips that you get when you first sit down. This restaurant definitely passed the test. Plus it was obvious that they make their own delicious nachos, which is awesome.

The soup was not what my wife expected so we returned it, fearing that this would not be well received by the staff. To our surprise, they took the soup back with a smile. My wife ordered guacamole with their nachos instead. It was great. My specialty of the house burrito has lived up to the expectation as well. Our michelada was delicious, these guys really know how to make micheladas.

Overall, we had a really good experience, and we will be back next time we will...

I recommend going early or mid day! Don’t go late like I did the second time. Went there before they closed and this place wasn’t the same unfortunately… New to this area, I’ve been to this place twice, the seafood plate and shrimp tacos was fire- I went hr after it opened on a Sunday. Then I went again few weeks later, It was about 45 mins before they closed and let me tell you, 40 seafood the plate was skimpy and just not the same as the first time we went, my wife’s pineapple drink tasted like water and pineapple pulp. The young lady working the counter coulda have been a little nicer, maybe it was to close to quitting time. Other than that this place was extremely clean, seems like this place would be really nice to have a dinner at, seeing how clean it was. I’m not sure if it was just quitting time and they was all tired. But I wish them the best, I think I would try them one more time to make sure it was it was just a one time deal.

Scrumptious Grilled Shrimp Tacos, Shredded Beef Quibirria, and Ceviche Mista appetizer. The appetizer was HUGE! Spicy salsa and great chips too while you wait. The service was outstanding and staff makes you feel at home. They told me I'll be back and they are right, I definitely will be. This is my new favorite Mexican spot and worth the 30 min drive. ***Edit: February 20, 2025: It's been awhile since I was going here with my niece and decided to back today. I tried their Super Steak Burrito with added salsa to make it a wet burrito and it was SO DELICIOUS. Huge too! Very tasty and so big I needed to save half for tomorrow's lunch. Ricardo was so kind and on top of everything, I definitely want to go back to try their Super Chimichanga or maybe the Super Burrito again with Birria. Love the Crema on top. Great vibe and energy in this place. They surely make customers feel welcome here. 😊
