I have had good burgers there in the past. I went in Wednesday May 1st and had one of the worst burgers. I ordered medium well, and it came extra well. And the fries were very very well done too. Actually awful food. And to top it off, the Wednesday burger special where the sign at the bar says $10.99/ bar seating only, means you must sit at the bar. Anywhere I've ever gone bar seating means in the bar area, not the dining area. This place has a bar area, and a separate dining area. But I was told by the server, you must actually be sitting at the BAR! You got to be kidding. It's now the next day after my original review and I read the reply. The owner seems to think I should have left a review just for getting a burger that was good in the past. An average burger does not warrant a review. Either great burgers or poor burgers maybe warrant a review. I was there on Wednesday around 3:30 pm and not during trivia time. And then he uses my "you got to be kidding" remark at the closing reply. How immature. The burger special on Wednesdays sign should say "bar counter seating only", not "bar seating only". First let me say the picture is of my tasty leftovers. We ate here last night because we read the good reviews. So very glad we went. The sea bass was perfectly seasoned and grilled with lovely charred marks. The vegetables on the side were pretty and tasty, as were the fluffy mashed potatoes. The dish was also served with a creamy sauce that I loved. My husband’s steak sandwich made me want to grow a second stomach. He had a side salad and even that was special with its yummy roasted red bell peppers. The calamari we started with was also delicious. We enjoyed the imperial stout and the I think the other beer we had was the red ale which satisfied my yearning for a refreshing beer. The meal arrived hot and looked appealing. The sea bass plate was generous enough that I had the leftovers for lunch and it still tasted wonderful. Our server was delightful with her lovely smile and helpful disposition. Went there w/ a friend for a burger and a beer during the early evening. Overall, I had a good experience, the food was good, and I would come back again. The atmosphere was pleasant; darkened lighting/mood w/ plenty of TVs to watch sports on, and offers both bar seating and tables. The place was small and cozy, but didn't feel too crammed. They had quite a list for beer selection, which was great. The food was good as well, had the Cuban sandwich, which was definitely one of the better of the Americanized versions I've had (too bad it didn't come w/ plantanos fritos!). The fries were delicious (beer-battered fries) as well. The pricing was a little bit on the higher end, w/ tip, paid $25 for a sandwich and a beer. The service was a bit slow however (as other reviews have mentioned). Ordering and receiving food, and obtaining the check took time, however, it was fairly busy at the time I went. The staff was friendly though, and overall, the establishment looked clean and well kept. Despite the wait, I'd like to come back again to try different foods/beer.
