UPDATE: While my one-star review of this particular experience stands, I have not since had such a bad experience. Not only is the manager extremely accommodating, but I have only had good experiences since, and I am pleased with how well Iām served at this location :-) I updated the overall review to four-stars since thatās how my usual experiences are.
ORIGINAL: I went to Subway just now for lunch - 1:00pm on Thursday. No line so I walked up to the bread end of the bar, and noticed that all four employees on the clock were at the other end. Two were in back doing prep work, and two were in the front chatting. Totally get the chatting - that's how it goes on slow days. They continued chatting as I waited.
I stood there looking at them for about thirty seconds (count that - it's longer than you realize) without anyone so much as looking at me, much less greeting me. I actually had to say "I'm ready when you ladies are" just to get their attention, and when I did, not a word was said to me until the gal helping me had to ask - rudely, and without looking at me - what kind of sandwich I'd like. The shift manager who'd been working in the back prepping had come around to do the veggie side and also did nothing to improve the experience. The girl at the end who helped me at the register was friendly and efficient - no cheesy retail smile, just calm and friendly.
Please keep in mind that I'm posting this as someone with extensive experience in customer service - hosting, serving, training customer service reps, managing, supervising, high-tension problem resolution, etc. I totally understand bad days, but this is vastly different.
Overall this was a rough experience, and the only reason I felt so compelled to share it is that it's becoming VERY common at this location. Customer service needs vast improvement, but the food is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere have been multiple instances where I have ordered through the mobile app and when I go for pick up, they either forget something or completely ruin my order. Their customer service is lacking with an employee smile and it seems all the younger kids seem to have a stronger work ethic than the adults. Actually, it doesnāt seem like it, itās obvious to customers. I understand bad days as Iāve worked in food service before, but every time I see them, itās like the best day for them is my worst day in hell. I appreciate the few employees who greet me and show gratitude for service as I feel really bad they have to work with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrder was placed online. Got confirmation for order and time. Then a few minutes later got a phone call from Subway saying that the bread was baking, so the time for pick-up would be 10 minutes later. Very nice to know ahead of time. Plus the order was 100% accurate which is unfortunately a rarity anymore. It was also ready at the time they said it would be ready. Was just bagging the toasted order as I walked through the door,...
