The entryway and lobby are beautiful. However, the seating and access and acoustics are abysmal. After seeing the lovely entrance I was expecting good things from the theater. I did not know that there was no elevator or other handicapped access. Climbing up the narrow and steep stairs to the balcony was NOT easy. How a new structure like this was built without putting in handicapped access baffles me. But even worse is the very poor acoustics. When I moved to Fairfield 2years ago I attended a musical. I am not exaggerating when I say I did not understand a word of the dialogue or songs due to the appalling acoustics. Our estimate of how many attendees we would have was WAY OFF - which caused the FACC staff to have to scramble to set up many more tables and chairs than we had anticipated.
