UPDATE! I hate to leave a bad review because I have previously loved this place and several of the nail techs do a good job, but I believe Nirvana has gone down-hill, or just has inconsistent talent. I recently went in for SNS and a pedicure, and the woman who did my nails surprisingly snapped at me when I asked for a more rounded shape, saying "I'm not done baby!" which came off as quite rude. She then proceeded to give me very square nails that I didn't want. She finished off my nail with a regular clear polish on SNS (which is incorrect). it was and looked sticky because it did not dry properly. By the time my nails we finished, they had accepted several other walk-in pedicures, so I would've had to wait 45 mins to get the pedicure I had requested when I came in. They seem to often forget about the order of clients, and have had scheduling conflicts even when appointments are made. I know it's a lot to remember at times, but there is no one there who is on top of that at this salon.
I mainly do not like the fact that they will let people do SNS nails who have little to no experience with it. I went to Leila's the next day and got them redone because the looked so junky. Once when they were short staffed, a young relative of the owner came in and did a bad paint job on my pedi.
bottom line: if you aren't recognized as a regular customer of theirs, you may very well get stuck with someone who does NOT have experience in the service you're getting, and end up paying for a job poorly done.

Read moreTerrible experience. It probably depends on your technician, but I had the owner and my mom had someone else. They both didn't bother switching out their tools or wiping down their stations before seeing us. My arms and hands were surrounded by the nail filings from a previous client. Absolutely disgusting. My mom recounted a similar situation at her station. He used a drill on my nails when I didn't even have nail polish on to begin with- since I rarely get my nails done.
My actual gel manicure was sloppy and it looked like I had fat marshmallows oozing off of my nails. When I made a comment about the look of it, the owner blamed me for moving my hand while it was in the UV box, but I had held them still. I observed him speak harshly and disrespectfully to other clients and his staff. One staff member gave me an apologetic look. I felt bad for the business environment- it did not seem like a pleasant place to work. Based on the other reviews, I am betting I just caught them at a particularly stressful time.
I paid and immediately left to go to a salon across the street to have my gel nail polish removed. My nails were damaged severely because of this experience and it will take a few months to get them healthy again. I was very...
Read moreI don’t normally post one star reviews, however, before getting my nails done I heard a man who was working behind the counter gossiping with a teenager about a woman who was waiting to get her nails done. Very disappointing and disrespectful. I needed to get my nails done for an event the next day so I didn’t say anything but that set a precedent for how I felt about this establishment due to the inappropriate nature of his behavior. My fiancé got the Nirvana message. He enjoyed the message but the girl who did his pedicure cut his toenails extremely short and he bleed on a few of his toes. We decided to be gracious and give a 20% tip regardless of both of our disappointments, which was roughly $130. Not bad since you will spend that easily on a decent meal or twice that on a full body message. The owner was extremely nice and my nails looked amazing, but between his painful experience with the toenails and my discomfort after hearing rude remarks in relation to clients prior to my appointment, we will not...
