McDonald's — Restaurant in Fairmont

Atmosphere: This location has a clean, modern interior with plenty of seating options. I visited early in the morning, and the dining room was completely empty, which made for a peaceful breakfast. The restaurant was overall very clean, though one table did have some leftover ketchup that hadn’t been wiped down. Otherwise, it felt well-kept and inviting.

Service: Service was efficient. The employee at the counter wasn’t overly friendly, but he was professional and got my order out quickly. Given that the place wasn’t busy, that might have helped with the speed, but I still appreciated the prompt service. He even brought my food to the table, which was a nice touch.

Food: I ordered a Bacon, Egg & Cheese McMuffin with a folded egg, and a large iced caramel coffee. I used the app, which worked perfectly this time, scoring me a free coffee. Interestingly, my sandwich came with both a folded egg and a round egg — not something I requested, and I have a feeling I may have been charged extra for the additional egg. That was a bit odd, but the sandwich was hot and tasted good regardless. The coffee was solid — sweet, cold, and refreshing.

Unprofessional and horrible food service.

Outside intercom times were slow with leterally only 2 cars populated in the parking lot for customers and 1 car ahead of me in the drive though, it took approximately 8 minutes to get to the second window. While waiting to get to the first window I hear a male yelling repeadly foul language out of excitement. Once I get up to the window I hear much more of it and everyone yelling and laughing. The cashier leaving his station every chance he gets with no outstanding greeting for the customer (myself).

I get to the second window to see 4 guys and a girl standing around in a tight group laughing and talking, the girl who served me my tea and food however was very kind and informative. I asked who the manager on duty at the time was and she said "John". This being said john should certainly be evaluated for demotion or further.

But that's not all. I get to my hotel only 6 minutes away with the heat on, get in my room and check my fries, cold old tasting and almost saltless from no oil left on them (dry). Not even Luke warm, nope. Cold! And this is supposed to be a medium?? I don't be returning here and will be pushing everyone from going here. Until this review...

Rarely do I go to a McDonald's anymore. Had bad experiences with too many in different areas to try again. But, part of me wanted a double cheeseburger and fries. I don't know if any recipes or things have changed around the fries, but they don't taste like they used to. Not crunchy, they're soggy? But the burger. It has that McDonald's flavor that I remember since I was a kid. There's something special about the cheese and burger together. And that's the taste my brain wanted. After 4 double cheese burgers, a chicken sandwich, and a fry, I was good. The quality of everything was great (the fries were good, but floppy and soggy). I'll definitely be returning to this McDonald's in the future.

Oh, and we got cookies. If you've never had the chocolate chip cookies from McDonald's, you're missing out. It's almost like the Pillsbury dough boy and Ronald McDonald are making these with their bare hands. They're ooey and gooey, they make you feel like SpongeBob getting grandmas kisses. Buy them. Keep them on the menu....
