Woody's Restaurant — Restaurant in Fairmont

Excellent it reminds so much of the hot dog shops where I grew up in Allentown PA. Right up there with Yocco's and Pete's hot dogs near the five points in Bethlehem. The way they make them is exactly how they do it there.

Plus the flavor of the restaurant is rustic Americana. With all types of photos, pictures, and different sports celebrities, musicians, and actors. Love this place and the staff was prompt, courteous, and high-speed with your order.

It'll be a regular stop and treat for me on laundry day at Magic Touch here on Morgantown Ave. Another great place to do your laundry. Clean neat and great new washers and dryers.

You couldn't ask for anything more within blocks of each other. Drop off your laundry and some great Americana food at Woody's Restaurant.

Some people refer to these as Coney island dogs the way they're prepared. If that's the way you like your hot dogs with the chili sauce and onions this is the place to go and be.

Plus they have hot dog 12 packs for family and friends for lunch or dinner to go. Great with a cold beer or what my favorite combo was as a kid chocolate milk 😉 Hope I answered some questions for those looking for...

Today, 01-18-2023, I was traveling home from Morgantown to Home and decided to stop in Fairmont for lunch. To be truthful I wanted to try Poky Dot Restaurant but they were closed, so I did a search on Google and Woody's was recommended.

I found it easily and realized that I had been here before. I parked in their private lot and went inside. It was not very busy, which I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a Hot Dog with Chili, Slaw & Onions and she asked Mild or Hot Chili... WOW an options!! So, I said Heck give me one of each....up sale!!! I also asked for a cup of ice for my can of Coca Cola in the car.

I decided to eat in my car while driving home. I applied salt & pepper (my standards). I found that both chili's had a kick but the Hot was very Hot. I like Hot Chili but not on my dogs!! So next time, I will go mild. The slaw didn't taste HOMEMADE to me...it tasted like Walmart Deli Slaw which is a No-No to me!! On my personal scoring scale for my favorite food...I give them a 3.5 out of 5!!! Definitely recommend and definitely going back..not my favorite but a real...

This place has some of the best dogs! They have mild, medium, and hot sauce that have that perfect saucy hot dog flavor. I am part dragon and wish the hot was HOT, but I figure most people would find their hot sauce hot enough. They also have great pepperoni rolls, , plain, with cheese, sauce delicious peppers, and they will warm them in a toaster oven if you like. There is an old feel to this place, from original screen door pushbar to a fantastic collection of old pictures on the wall. There is both counter seating and a few booths. The atmosphere like an old 50's dog joint. There is plenty of old fashioned things to look at on the walls. I used the words "old fashioned" but this place probably kept the look of when it first opened a long time ago. The best and most amazing thing about Woody's is watching their employees make those dogs. If there were a contest on how quick, they would definitely win. I have so much fun watching them being made... and even more fun...
