TC's TREATS & EATS — Restaurant in Fairview Heights

Ordered online to go just before 1:15pm. on a Friday. Said ready at 1:30. At 1:30, they said they only just received the order, and it would be about fifteen minutes. It was thirty more minutes. Meanwhile, they made our two to-go shakes, and they melted while waiting for our food. Food was hot, chili cheese fries were sweet tasting and ended up getting tossed, just not a good mixture of flavors at all. The wings were hot and large, so that was a good surprise, but we only received 9 out of the 10 that were ordered. I'd give the burger a 2 out of 10. It was pretty greasy and flavorless.

We love small businesses, and we adore when we find that perfect spot to brag to everyone about, but this is unfortunately not one of those places for us. We struggle with wondering if we expect too much from a small ice cream establishment offering a limited menu of fried foods, but we just spent 69 dollars and change on two burgers with fries, one wings and fries and two shakes. If I could scream them from the rooftops so everyone in the world could hear me I would!! I have been passing this place for a long time with the intent to stop one day and try it out. Well today was the day! I was greeted by a huge smile from Nish and had help picking out my ice cream choice of the night. I asked about the ‘Water Ice’ and was told it was their homemade LACTOSE FREE sherbet. They gave me a sample of the strawberry version… let’s just say I had an epiphany! THIS IS WHAT SHERBET SHOULD BE!!! Pieces of strawberry throughout this creamy ice-cream alternative was all I needed to keep me wanting more. Soon after I got my butter pecan and chocolate ice cream order. There were pecans in every bite and the chocolate was rich and decadent. Very rude staff. No friendly, warm smiles at all. Was our 1st time here, and had a horrible experience. Again, our 1st time here so walked inside to order, and was told we needed to walk back outside and order at outside window. Today was very windy and cold so we all looked very confused, and started to leave but said we'd give it try and brush it off...but then walked out to window and staff was still rude & just not very kind at all. Super horrible customer service skills. The last time I checked, it's still FREE to smile and be pleasant. Food was mediocre, but lobby was clean & Italian ice was super yummy! Besides the nice lobby appearance and yummy Italian ice, this was a totally horrible visit!
