I had a grandmother who had passed away from congestive heart failure a month ago. When I completed the paperwork the staff member Carlene was professional and I was very impressed. However what happened after my grandmother had died was tragic and disrespectful and I was very angry about how the funeral home carried out the process.
I made it absolutely clear in the beginning that I wanted my grandmother's ashes to be shipped to my location since I would be arriving out of state. I even inquired if the cost of shipping was built into the fee of the cremation.
After my grandmother passed away I was promptly called for payment. Once her funds were liquidated from the nursing home where she resided I proceeded to pay the rest on June 13. On the sticker it said June 12th. How did I find out that the cremation was done on June 12th? Well I did not receive my grandmother's ashes until June 30th. More than two weeks. I take some blame into this for not inquiring sooner about the process. I think it's fair. But I also think it's fair to ask the question of why would you let a customer's ashes sit for more than two weeks without notification? When I called on the 29th I spoke with Carlene and she informed me that the ashes "just arrived". Well according to the process of cremation and having the death certificate done by the clerk there should be no reason it should go beyond 3 days and that's pushing it. On average the process should be around 5-6 hours to have everything done. So to be told that it "just arrived" was the equivalence of being spit in your face. The reason I've given two stars instead of one is at least Kourtney Teat tried to do right by doing quick shipping of the ashes. I expected bettter and I have been very let down. Please respect your customers better and don't take advantage of them.
Thank you and have a blessed...

The family was very emotional and reactive but he knew how to calm us down. He had empathy and seemed to relate to the family. He was very gentle, professional and PATIENT with us as we made big decisions. Teat dealt w/us with kid gloves! I believe he has met his calling of soothing, helping and uplifting grieving people.

On top of that, My mother looked beautiful tears. They knew how to put everything together and ran a beautiful service. Lastly, they did a cross state transport that went smoothly.
