Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Fairview Township

Tried Mountain Top Jersey Mike’s today for the first time. I was excited they opened one because I love the one in Wilkes barre. I went in and ordered 4 subs to go. One was a cheesesteak and ended up giving us a chicken cheesesteak instead. I did not notice until I got home - no big deal, mistakes happen. I called and let them know the error and asked them to make a plain cheesesteak, just steak and cheese and I’m on my way to swap them out.

I get to the restaurant and let them know. The guy at the register said they are almost done making it. He walks to the back, comes back and tells me they are going to make mine now. I question it since he had just said it was almost done, and I had called ahead to make sure I didn’t have to wait again due to their error. He apologized and said he missed the part where I said plain and they had made it with peppers and onions - I respect that he owned it was his mistake so I’ll wait.

I get the sub, go to the car, open it, THERE’S ONIONS!! At this point I’ve had enough. I walk back in and just tell him that this is getting ridiculous and there’s onions on it (open the sub and show him). He doesn’t say anything and takes it back to the guy cooking. I again wait for the sub. A different person eventually brings it up and just says “here you go”. No apology, no offer to comp it, no offer for a discount…NOTHING! It took them 4 different tries to get me a plain cheesesteak, had to wait every time (even though I called ahead when they screwed up the first time), and 2 different trips there to just get a roll with steak and cheese on it. What should have been a quick lunch took me an hour and a half.

Very disappointing at the situation and employee handling. I would highly recommend just making the trip to the Wilkes barre one if you want Jersey mikes as it would have just saved me...

Walked in and no one else was there at this new location . Was told I couldn’t get a mini in a hot sub so then ordered a regular to share with my daughter. Waited very long to get my sub to eat in then after several new customers came and went. We got our sub in a bag and said it was for here and asked if it was cut bc we were sharing and was told no had to then get it cut to get it returned to us wrapped needing to share the paper it was wrapped in . Sub wasn’t even hot ! Also had to ask about what type of bread that was offered . Tables were dirty and in need of a wiping down . People w phone or mobile to go orders were just standing around waiting . Esp in front of where we were sitting . Blocking the napkin dispenser. We were the only ones remaining eating after everyone else left and crowd calmed down . Very slow...

We went to JM for the first time. We both had the roasted chicken sub. It was difficult to find the meat and cheese on our hoagies. There was plenty of lettuce though. We had condiments and veggies like tomatoes on the side because we didn't know if we were eating them tonight or tomorrow. A soggy hoagie is not a good thing. Tomatoes and banana peppers were packaged well. They gave us oil and vinegar and mayo which was also packaged well. This store needs to put more of the $$ stuff on their hoagies. We pd $43.34 for 2 lg hoagies and 2 bags of chips. Wayyyyy toooooo expensive for...
