I can’t believe the experience I had at this place. I never leave reviews no matter how bad the service or the food is however this is something I have to let people know. The person who helped us was the rudest person I’ve ever interacted with, turns out she’s the owner. She should not be helping with customers if she doesn’t know how to speak to people. She brought 5 pieces of bread to a table of 8 and when I asked for more I thought she was going to beat me up. She replied you have bread why do you want more with the most disgusting tone. Iskender is definetly the best in the States. Food overall is very good. However, ayran (yogurt drink) was watered downed a lot. We were excited to have some home made ayran but it was not good. I give 4 stars, not 5. Not for the ayran but for the ambiance. There is none. The plain walls with a few awkward hanging pictures makes the place looks very depressing. Also it gets very loud. Baştan söyleyeyim hem övmeye hem gömmeye geldim. Övülecek tarafları Amerika’da yediğim en lezzetli Türk döneri. ( Alman usulü yapılanlar hariç ) Porsiyonlar çok güzel doyurucu, tabak dolu dolu geldi. Salata da boldu. Pilav konusunu ben güzel buldum ama eşim pek başarılı bulmadı. Genelde türk restoranlarında türk öğrenci gençler çalışıyor ama burada ispanyol bir kız vardı. Bu kısımda gömücem çünkü türk işletmeciler maalesef işletmenin görünen yüzü servis personeline gereken önemi vermiyor. Ve çok üzücü olsa da bu işletme özelinde söyleyemem ama genelde trainer diyerek bedavaya çalıştırıp, bahşişleri vermeyip hak yiyorlar. Ama olsun kesin cumayı kaçırmazlar. Gömeceğim bir taraf da yazık ki çok vizyonsuzuz. Geneli eğitimsiz ve dışarıda yemek kültürüne hakim olmayan insanlar restoran sektörüne girdiği için pek çok detayı göz ardı ediyor. Böyle olunca da sonuç vasat, vizyonsuz, 70’lerden kalma Giresunun ilçesindeki lokantadan farksız oluyor. Hoş bir atmosfer ve iyi bir hizmet ile bu mükemmel tatları her halktan insana sunabilirz oysa ki.. umarım zamanla daha da iyiye gider ve bu kritikler de dikkate alınır. Özetle türk dönerini temiz bir yerde yemek isterseniz tavsiye olunur. Biraz fiyatlı bir yer ama porsiyonlar doyurucu olduğu için göze batmayacaktır diye...
