Really horrible parking situation. They share a very small lot with a municipal building and police station. I was going to take my kid to a music class and I was driving around the lot and side streets for 45+ minutes. When I called the front desk to see if they suggested any other areas the gentleman told me No, in a super rude tone! I’m pregnant with an infant, so parking blocks away would have been a lot for me. Even the spots that were 15minutes only were taken up for over 30 minutes. And all handicap spots were taken as well, and I’ve got a handicap sticker.
I would just suggest if you are planning to come here for one of their events, make sure you arrive an hour and a half (maybe even two hours) earlier to make sure you can get parking in the lot or just be OK with parking a few blocks away. It’s very hilly in the neighbors so be weary of that with kids.
I won’t be trying this out again because it’s...
Read moreFriendly staff, clean (enough) facility. But noisy!!! Probably the noisiest library I've ever been in, aside from major downtown libraries/civil centers. It's definitely not a quiet place, which makes it atypical as libraries go. No noise limiting by staff (at times the opposite, they contribute to the loud banter), kids and adults alike constantly chit-chatting if not full-on gossiping in louder tones. A group of toddlers busting a move to club music for dance class--at club volume--in the kids section. There will always be that mall-like background noise unless you come during daytime work hours, even then it's hit or miss. So that can be a little annoying if you're looking for a typical library ambience. But it's still a great little library. Somewhat limited collection, but ample young adult, kids and...
Read moreI absolutely love this library! It is a cosy, quiet, clean establishment with wonderful books and friendly staff. But the main reason I adore this place is it's children's program. My 2 year-old son just can't get enough of it, we go there every day: open play on Mondays and Fridays, story times on Tuesdays and Thursdays, every other week there is a musical class on Wednsday or Saturday. Besides, arts and crafts supplies and projects are always available. My son has ASD, so it is also a great place for him to socialize and learn to communicate to peers or even grown-ups. Sometimes we just go there to read a book or two because every morning I hear :"Mama, let's go to...
