El Lechón Ardiente — Restaurant in Fajardo

I have driven around the island in search of the best lechón out there, and boy did I find one of the best here. The variety and quality of food was top notch. My daughter and I are severe celiac and were able to eat without worry, lechón, arroz con guandules, rice and beans. We had a feast which is difficult to say when you live with celiac. Not only was the food was delicious and gluten-free, but the service was so friendly from the moment we walked through the door to the point that the owner walked us to our car. Highly recommended. Parking is limited but if you run inside and ask they'll tell you where to park. There's not really a menu (or at least not one that we saw anywhere) - the food is cafeteria style and you tell them what you want. I got lechon with white rice and beans, my husband also got lechon but with arroz guisado. Everything was delicious! $16 for this!??? Most expensive plate lunch ever, in 8 years of living in Puerto Rico! Do yourself a favor and go to Econo, Ralph’s or Pueblo for a delicious plate lunch that will cost you around $7 with a drink. This place has no prices listed anywhere, the owner charged me then walked out and got into his brand new, super fancy, decked out truck! Never going back...
