I don't come here very often, maybe about once a month, but I have been coming to this location for about 5-6 years now. I also don't generally leave reviews unless I find a place either amazing or awful, and in this case I have to say that I was very disappointed. A couple of days ago I walked into the store to get my usual, just a simple number 4 with cheese and no tomatoes, very easy. This time though whenever I walked up to the register I was met with an unfamiliar face. He was at an average height, had round glasses, and short curly black hair. As I walked up to the register, to put it bluntly, I was immediately hit with a powerful stench of B.O.. I don't want to be rude, but this guy had some serious hygiene issues. Any restaurant that wants to put a smile on their customers' faces should not be employing staff with such terrible B.O. problems. It's seriously not that hard to just wear deodorant, and the constant bad smell was making me lose my appetite. I still need to talk about the ordering process, but after I ordered, I would still catch an occasional whiff of B.O. as I stood by the pick-up counter waiting for my food. The smell was that bad, and I'm sure the rest of the staff was experiencing it way worse than I was just judging by the look on their faces.
Anyways, after nearly gagging while trying to order, my order went something like this: Me: "Just a number 4 with cheese and no tomatoes, and that'll be just the sandwich please." Him: "Any chance I can talk you into making that a combo meal with chips and a drink?" Me: "No thanks, just the sandwich for me." Him: "Are you sure? It's only a little extra for it." Me: "Uhhh... no thanks, just the sandwich." Him: "Alright no worries, and that was a number 4?" Me: "Um, yeah, but I also wanted cheese on that and no tomatoes." (I promise I'm not exaggerating this next part at all, this is exactly what happened.) Him: "Sounds good! Now, I do have to ask you..." He slowly took off his glasses and looked at me as if he was trying to flirt with me. "Can I interest you in any bacon on that?" Me: "Ummm... no... I just want a number 4 with cheese and no tomatoes. That's it." (Like I said at the beginning)
I then awkwardly paid for my food, feeling super uncomfortable by the whole interaction, annoyed that he kept trying to sell me things after I repeatedly told him no, and feeling disgusted by the whole B.O. ordeal. I will say that my experience aside from that guy was just as it ever was, I got my sandwich with no problems and everything was made correctly, and it seemed like the staff was working very hard to get their orders made as fast as possible. The sandwich was good as always, just slightly ruined by the smell of B.O.
All in all, this was very disappointing to say the least, and I'm very surprised that I currently see no other reviews about this guy. Think I'll switch up sandwich places for a while, and I hope to never see that guy again...
Read moreSaturday, Sept. 9, 2023. 12:09 PM, Falcon Colorado Jimmy Johns. For over 15 years I have ordered the same thing. "#10, all the freebies, no peppers". Plain.... simple, exactly what I want. Worked from coast to coast at all Jimmy Johns. Not today! Today, I ordered the same thing. Saturday right after noon, the place was really busy. Now I know why. "#10, all the Freebies, no peppers".... was not understood by the cashier. He says "ok.... #10. do you want anything on that?" "YES! All the Freebies, no peppers" was my response. Cashier: "I can't enter in 'all the Freebies' on this computer. Just tell me what you want on your sandwich. Me: "I want, (what I have ordered for over a decade) all the freebies and no peppers!" Cashier: You need to look at the list, tell me what you want on your sandwich. Me: I read back to the cashier out loud the complete list of Freebies, word for word as printed on the display board, but I put NO in front of peppers. What did I get? #10, 3Xmustard, no tomatoes, no pickles and probably something else was missing.... I don't know. I didn't memorize the posted Freebie list. Never needed to memorize the list before today. Next time I'll have the cashier read back my order to me, checking what I the cashier believes I ordered. This will ultimately make the line behind me longer at what is probably the busiest hour of the week for JJ's. "All the Freebies, no peppers" ..... really simple and easy. It seems to me like that's how the cool people order from JJ's. One of the reasons why I like Jimmy Johns more than Subway is it's simple to order, fast preparation, no long lines waiting to order your food. Not today. Cashier couldn't find the "All the Freebies" button on...
Read moreUpdate after owner post: click select all copy and paste what I said and do it yourself. Remove your ridiculous policy. Seems other JJ’s in the area have the same stupid policy. Get a fraud pen!!! Just lowered my review to 1 star for your ridiculous response. Original Review: Greeted with a sign that states no $50’s or $100’s. I asked the cashier/order taker what if my bill is $50 would you take a $50 and he said no. Owner/Managers orders. So in other words the owners of this franchise can’t afford a fraud pen for the cashiers to prove the bills are not fraudulent.
Sandwich was OK Bread seemed stale. Somehow both of our sandwiches ended up with nothing but tomato butts of a the tomato. It as winter time and seemed like the A/C was on instead of keeping the shop at a comfortable temperature as if management was trying to save electricity. IMO this store is run by a penny pinching fool of an owner who finds the cheapest employees and why their rating is so low. I’m kinda glad we don’t live in this town as I would never come back to this JJ’s for the fact that it is mismanaged. Grand Junction JJ’s is way better run that these here in Colorado Springs. They use grains...
