In reply to Nicole. As a mother of three I have been in this restaurant countless amount of times since I was just a teenager. All of the staff are the most friendly that I have ever encountered in any pizzeria around Bucks County, they treat myself and my family...as if were their family. I have dined in with waitress service when they have asked us to move to the other side. They do this due to the fact that they clearly go over and beyond to make the restaurant one of the cleanest around! How hard is it to just move to the other side, really? They only do it if you don't have your food yet, so it doesn't make it such a hassle anyways, but thats obviously what happens when you come into a restaurant, a half hour before they are closing...to expect full blown dining service. Due to the fact that "one of the employee's came over and turned the channel to a Spanish station, and it was pretty loud" was because they were watching it. Go into any other local restaurant and you'll as well get TVs with the volume up. I'm sure this isn't one of the first times you have heard a TV in your life time, at a restaurant. As for the "f bomb" I have never experienced any foul language in the atmosphere of Amato's. It's just another thing you probably decided to throw in there to make yourself sound like some high end customer who just sits behind the computer to search places and write reviews all night. Have you not read all 43 other comments where 95% of them were positive ratings. Therefore out of 95% compared to your one, single, lame comment your the one who makes yourself look like the biggest fool. As for Amato's it is one of the best Italian restaurants around! The staff are all friendly, they have always greeted and joked around with my family and I. We had a party of 20 and they were completely okay with the fact that we took up half of their dining room and they didn't once mess up our order. This place deserves beyond a five star rating that's how...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Amato's based on my son's opinion, knowing I'm a picky eater. He said this is a place that would give me a good meal. So with no expectations after reading some of the reviews I was pleasantly impressed with the quality service and tasty food. The reviews state that it's small inside, it's not as small as you might think. My wife and I had lots of room and so did those that were around us. We ordered an appetizer of french fries and we were given a choice of large or small. I knew small would be too small for me and my wife so we went with large and let me tell you there were a lot of fries on that large platter and they were cooked nice and crisp and hot when we received them. I ordered a cheesesteak with pepperoni and sauce, and it was delicious. It was a good size for a good price. The meat wasn’t fatty, I like my meat chopped up. This was perfect. It was delicious. My wife ordered a steak Stromboli, now this came packed with steak and cheese. It was hot and juicy and you get dipping sauce on the side for it. We both enjoyed it although it was a little too big for us to finish in one meal after everything else we ate, so we took that home to finish there. The prices were very reasonable, so | left there feeling like I came out ahead. When we sat down the tables were clean and the restaurant staff courteous and attentive. The food now was very good and the portions were very generous as you can tell by the pictures that I included. I didn't use the bathrooms so I can't comment on those but if they're kept as clean as the rest of the restaurant, I am sure they are good. This is definitely a place you can take your family to eat and not break your purse or wallet, I can also see couple's going here and it's good for any age group. There is an ample amount of parking and room for handicap vehicles also and yes, it is easily wheelchair accessible. I hope you and whoever goes with you and enjoys...
Read more2025 UPDATE Had to knock Amato's down to 2 stars. I came in and ordered 2 slices of buffalo chicken pizza. When I was served them at the table they looked the same as when I checked them out at the counter. The bottom was slightly crispy but the cheese and the chicken and even the blue cheese sauce was cold to the touch. The cheese was still congealed. This was around 1pm and the 1st thing I ate all day so I ate the first slice and started on the 2nd. The waitress came back to check in and I said did they reheat the slices and she said yes for a few seconds because people complained they get too crispy if we reheat them too long. I said well they are cold. You even served them on an ice cold metal tray. She said you should have said something sooner I would have had them throw them back in the oven. First off I never send food back. Secondly I find it disgusting if they take food someone had placed in their mouth and put it back on a cooking surface that is communal like a pizza over. That just turned my stomach. After that I stopped eating the pizza. I won't be coming back anytime soon. Unfortunate.
Original Review Amato's is a legit pizza place. When I get the pizza from here I enjoy the smell and taste of the crust. It sounds silly and simple but the crust is supposed to have a smell and a taste and this place gets the crust right. It smells a little like baked flour but in a good earthy way. The crust is also cooked perfectly with some char and lots of chew with slightly bitter notes. Again this sounds silly but so many pizza places in Levittown can not replicate this. The crust is either too thick or isn't cooked enough or worse has no flavor. This place hits all the marks with the crust alone I can't recommend it enough. There is only 1 other place I have found in the area that gives Amato's a run...
