A taste of Italy in Fairless Hills, PA. I walked in during the dinner rush around 7:30 pm on a Friday night at DeLorezoâs dining room, table for one. I was immediately greeted and welcomed to the restaurant by the bus boy, and immediately cleaned the booth and seated me at the table. Almost every table is full in this quiet Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was soothing with neutral colors on the walls, beige stucco remnants of old style Italy, and arched doorways, Italian tile border, a map of Italy and Italian oil paintings on the walls. The window was adorned with climbing pothos, growing vines plants climbing the trellis. I was given water and a caraf of free house wine. I ordered one of my favorite dishes, chicken piccata. The staff was very nice and attentive. They brought out the drinks and bread and a salad fairly quickly. I highly recommend the house salad dressing, itâs amazing. The chicken piccata was delicious, the angel hair pasta was not over cooked at all. The chicken was very tender and flavorful, a lemon, butter, garlic sauce with the capers. The portions are enormous, definitely another meal or two! The only downside was they smothered the dish in parsley. I personally am not a big fan of parsley, to each their own. For the $23 cost, you get your moneyâs worth. When I finished, I asked for a boxes. I really enjoyed my dinner and had a cannoli for dessert, and a tiramisu to go, Mom said it was very creamy! The cannoli was chocolate covered, with the perfectly sweet creamy filling and very fresh cannoli shell, easily the best one Iâve ever had. As the restaurant slowly started to empty out, I waited a long time for the bus boys to come and take my plate in front of me so I had a room to work. They clearly did not finish attending to the dining room as I saw the waitress, wiping down the tables. The time I left was about 8:30 pm, overall a very pleasant dining experience. I would rate this four out of five stars for quality food, atmosphere, value/cost and friendly waitress. A local favorite once in a while, a quiet...
Read moreI have such mixed feelings here but Iâll start with the good. The food is good, the prices are great and the portions are plentiful. Thatâs pretty much where it ends. Now for the bad, the service is sub par at best. Youâll have to ask several times for something and usually have to get up and get it yourself. I moved out of the area so I havenât been here in a while but we were meeting people nearby and they chose there to eat. When we pulled up we noticed that the shopping center had a nice update and looked modern and beautiful. Well letâs just say the inside of this place does not match the outside. Itâs literally the same as I remembered without a single update. Ok, I can deal with the fact that is dated but what is I unacceptable is the lack of cleanliness. Itâs absolutely filthy and in dire need of a paint job. This place is popular among the locals and does a very decent business so there is no excuse for this. Iâm not talking a little dirty, Iâm talking filthy. The walls are dirty and chipped, the plants are caked with dust which are right over your head, mind you and the switch plate next to my head was disgraceful. It looked like something youâd find in an old, abandoned house and not a place that prepares food. I was grossed out that it was so close to my face. I shutter to think of what the kitchen looks like if its this bad in the parts customers can see. Cmon guys, itâs not that hard. Take a day and deep clean your restaurant and give the walls a fresh coat of paint. While youâre at it, put some money into updating it a little, I promise you it would...
Read moreI have always been to De Lorenzoâs in NJ and it has been amazing, this is the first time Iâve been to the De Lorenzoâs in Yardley, Pa. Our waitress Lilly (I believe that was her name) was super sweet and handled the entire dinning room with ease. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan and a large pizza as I sat at our both it was hard not to notice just how filthy the restaurant was, the wall at our booth was covered (see photos below) with food stains, oil drippings & dirt. The picture on the wall was crusted with dust and food stains and my fork was bent and unusable. The floors were filthy and in places missing pieces of the linoleum tile. At this point there was no way you could convince me that the kitchen that was currently in the process of preparing our order was any cleaner. Not wanting to make anyone uncomfortable at our table or cause a scene, I chose to wait until they were ready to leave. Iâm not sure how any restaurant would consider this atmosphere acceptable for their customers and within state health guidelines. To say that I was disgusted is an understatement. This place needs a deep cleaning and repairs. The cushion seat at the booth was ripped and uncomfortable. It doesnât matter if the food is good or not if itâs made and presented in a filthy environment. I rated the food 1star âď¸ based on not wanting to eat anything made in this restaurant after noticing how filthy the place was. Service 4 stars âď¸ âď¸âď¸âď¸ based on Lilly being sweet, attentive and keeping up with all the customers with ease and 1 star âď¸ on atmosphere based on overall...
