A few weeks back, I went to the FHGC to purchase 5 knockout rose bushes and a few assorted herb plants. I paid for the order, $150 +. When I got home, I noticed, while I had only 7 herbs in my basket, I was charged for 9. No big deal; I knew I'd be returning the following week to buy additional products, I figured I'd square up with them at that time. I'm certainly not cheap but I figured, what the heck. I also thought to myself, hmmmm, if they pull this little trick 5 or $$$$o times a day, I think you catch my drift. I held onto my receipt and I figured when I pointed out the discrepancy, they'd just offer me two similar plants, no questions asked. I did return today and purchased an additional $60. worth of plants. While checking out, I explained the mistake to the check out person and I showed her my receipt. She, in turn, brought it to the attention of one of the managers. Now, we're talking about $4.00, I wasn't asking for a refund. I figured, as a show of good faith, the manager would just hand me two plants, apologize for the mistake and I'd be on my way. It's not like they don't have about 40 million plants on the grounds. But no; this manager, who had the brain of a radish and a personality to match, looked at the receipt, took out his phone and just started punching buttons. He said he would have to go over the receipts for that day. He was so totally confused, I thought his head was going to explode. He had a dazed look in his eyes and he retreated to the office. Realizing at this point I wasn't going to get the two plants I'd paid for or the $4.00, I walked over to the office, stuck my head in and saw Mr. Personality seated, obviously mentally drained from this little exchange. I bid him adieu, "in my own special way". Radish brain didn't respond but I'm sure he knows, I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDOG POOP ALERT. Was here today at 1210pm. Thought I was going to have a nice time shopping around getting some pots and let my 2yo daughter get some toys today. Until I heard her slip and fall behind me. I had no idea why she slipped and fell, so she got up and and slipped and fell AGAIN. I looked and it was DOG POOP... So I immediately go tell the girl working at the register. She says "Yeah sometimes people bring their dogs in here. Sorry. You can go in the bathroom and clean her up. I'll tell someone to clean the floor." Which seemed like an easy task to her, apparently. Which isn't, at all when your toddler is covered in poop head to toe in public. I feel the employees could have done more for us being covered in poop that came from THEIR floor. If I were her, I would have at least helped by getting some wipes off the shelf or finding some sort of products that I KNOW THEY HAVE there to easier clean her up. Instead I had to strip her down in the parking lot and scrub the poop off her entire body/head with alcohol wipes and LUCKILY I had a bag of clothing donations with her smaller clothes that I squeezed her into. I am really upset about this, considering I have a bathtub full of greasy mechanic clothes soaking in a chemical solution for the day, and the shoes she wore were BRAND NEW shoes that she JUST WORE FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME TODAY and now they are stained with dog poop. I ended up not buying anything because of this situation. I had to come home and give my daughter a freezing cold hose bath in the yard due to my bathtub being full of toxic water/clothing. Hopefully she doesn't get hook worm from the dog poop. It was going to be a great day of fun and potting plants until...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot happy at all with what happened today when I went to the store. As I was walking around with my son browsing I stumbled across some tea lights in a bag and the ONLY reason I scooped them up to buy them was bc they were sitting in front of a 2.99 sign. I was like what a deal. Took it to the register and the young Asian girl rang me out. She said my total was 6 something. I informed her of the price advertised and she says I'm just the cashier. What does that mean? Aren't you trained on what to do and if you don't know what to do get a manager? Si work in retail as a store manager so I took it upon myself to double check check area. Realizing the bag didn't actually match the actual BUNCH of realists in that spot in the box I said o it must be these ones. Take it back to her and she says same thing about price. So I inform her now she should be changing the price bc those are DEF the ones placed there. I thought she did that as I go to insert my card she says the total is 6 something. I immediately yank my card out before I'm charged for them and very frustrated and angry walk out telling her she's wrong and should have called a manager. She had not a care in the world. Looked like deer in headlights. I spend money here for flowers and intended too this year as well but idk now. I'm completely turned off by how this was handled. O and to make matters worse a manager/owner was lingering in the area the entire time. Shame on him for not coming over to resolve issue or even see what was going on. He HAD to...
