Today, my fiance' and myself decided to go to Arosso, touch of Italy Italian restaurant. When we lived in the area, we could only eat here, because of Celiac's disease. It's probably been close to two years since we have been here, and were looking forward to this as a treat. Upon ordering I was a little taken back by the new extreme shrink-flated prices. But I also understand that they need to make a living too. So if the food is worth it, then it's not a problem. We ordered a GF ham and cheese stromboli and a GF Chicken Quesadilla with fries. The stromboli was 32.00 and the quesadilla was 16.00. When I say there was two bites of ham and 4 bites with cheese in little more than half of the stromboli, I'm being extremely generous. I wrote this review from an exact point of view and not my opinion on the situation. You be the judge!, I must warn you, the pictures are very graphic! Would you pay 50.00 for these two items? When we asked the person inside, she said we got exactly what we are supposed to get. Personally I would have been embarrassed to hand this food to my customers.
Update: the picture of the Stromboli is of the middle section. The ends were all dough and then just some cheese for a couple of inches. I went to Weis market and bought the new GF wheat flour. I made a pretzel stromboli with ham and cheese. Fresh mozzarella cheese from the cheese area of the deli and fresh chopped ham. The ham was Kreshmar off the bone masterpiece ham. The total it cost me was just under 15.00 in materials for high end products. Which leads me to believe there was less than 10.00 invested into my dinner that night at Arosso. With a 33% x 3 rule for restaurants. That means at 33.00 for a stromboli, 11.00 for materials, 11.00 for labor and 11.00 for profit is the goal. You be the judge? If I could make it bigger, better, with higher end products. I know these must be very profitable. I will add photos of homemade strombolis, next time I make them, to show the difference between what we use to receive here and what we get now.
Update Dec 12,2024 We ordered again today. I must say redemption is a good thing. The order was as close to perfect as I could expect from a place. There were a few mistakes, but nothing to horrible to worry about. We had ordered 95.00 worth of food, not really busy as it was late at night. The food was great as I remembered. As ordered (GF Italian hoagie, well done hamburger, chicken steak sandwich, crab rounds, curly fries, and couple other sandwiches). Everyone loves the homemade GF rolls as usual. These should be in the frozen section of the supermarket with the strombolis and Calzones. I have traveled all over, been to places that are listed in magazines and none make strombolis or Calzones. So that is already a plus. Then you take the texture, flavor, and thickness of the body of the dough and you have a winner. If you are driving by and must have gluten free, this would be your place to go! Remember everyone has bad days. So don't be quick to judge off one mistake, as everyone deserves a...

After entering the restaurant, the menu is very outdated. We were greeted and upon asking questions we were told that the buffet was not longer in service… we picked a table and sat there for about 5-10 mins. The server came up and asked what she would like to drink and we asked for a Pepsi and a lemonade… the lemonade was extremely sweet and the lemon was so thin that we had a hart time squeezing it into the lemonade… we asked for extra lemons to make the lemonade a bit more sour since it was extremely sweet… we still received thin sliced lemons… they were so thin that it had the thickness of a bologna ham… after being unable to drink the lemonade… we decided to ask for a water and lemons… but again lemons were extremely thin and unable to squeeze them… after ordering our food… which contained a order of mozzarella sticks… Alfredo pasta, cheesesteak and a eggplant pasta…
Mozzarella sticks were so greasy and the cheese used almost choked my lil sister that we had to put them to the side… after waiting for about 30-40 mins for our food… after the food was brought to the table, the Alfredo pasta barely had flavor, the eggplant pasta was extremely bad that the breading from the eggplant was soggy and way way too much cheese which ruined our appetite… the food had too much salt and drinks were not refilled until we decided to ask for a refill. After spending a total of $92 for everything… the food was not tasty, was not fresh, too much salt… In the end we decided to just take the food home instead of trying to eat it… after arriving home I started to feel sick were it got to the point that I got nauseous and ended up throwing up… the little bit of food that was digested. The entire time no napkins or paper towels were provided at all. After taking a closer look at the menu we also realized that this restaurant does not offers a KIDS MANU!!! and it’s located right next door of a kids entertainment facility. Which it was not very convenient for us but decided to give it a try…
Definitely will not recommend to family and...

Incredible. Simply incredible. I knew this place in passing as The Adelphia when I was growing up, but passed it a million times as an adult before finding it here on this site. After one visit, I plan to be a regular.
Unlike many restaurants that simply offer a few gluten-free choices, this place is serious about being GF. Instead of having a few GF choices, pretty much anything they sell can be made GF, including all of their pizzas and pastas. I'm used to picking from a handful of GF options at most - I was actually overwhelmed for choice at this place. Awesome.
The owner's father (from Sicily) comes in every morning and makes fresh dough, both regular and GF. The GF meals are made fresh when you order - we requested bread for our table while we ordered and it took a few minutes, and came out piping hot (and was delicious). From what the GM tells me, their meats and fish are fresh, never frozen. That alone would be impressive here in Levittown, the GF menu just puts them over the top. The sauce on my pizza was definitely homemade. The GM even said (paraphrasing here) "we're fully aware of the issues Celiacs face, and we'll go out of our way to work with you. If you haven't had a meatball sandwich in years because of the breadcrumbs (which we use in ours), call the night before. We'll make a batch for tomorrow that are specifically GF just for you." Wow.
They have a dedicated GF area in the kitchen, separate cutting boards, the works. They fire the GF pizzas in a separate oven. They're 100% on board with GF people and cross-contamination should never be an issue here as far as I can tell. The servers are all super-friendly and knowledgeable and the general manager is awesome and fun to talk to.
I can't say enough about this place after only one visit. I'm already planning our next trip.
Oh, and get the signature Portabella appetizer. Seriously. A dish that delicious is probably illegal in...
