If you are anywhere near Faribault, GO HERE. My two sisters and I did on the recommendation of a friend and we could not be more delighted with our delicious experience at Crack of Dawn Bakehouse. Chris and Lori (owners/bakers) are hardworking and terrifically talented, and their staff could not be nicer or more helpful. The food here is absolutely the BEST. We found ourselves saying, "This is the best ________ I've ever tasted" for every item we dove into. We highly recommend the things we had, which were: any flavor quiche on the menu, any of their bread loaves, the cookies (OMG), the caramel pecan rolls and cinnamon rolls (OMG AGAIN), "Nana's Sandwich," specially prepared coffees and teas, and, well, I just can't imagine that anything on their incredibly cute menu board could be any less than those items we devoured. I wish I had photos of the food but quite honestly, we inhaled it too fast for a photo op (and you just have to TASTE it; photos do not do it justice). Just GO.

What a wonderful find. Chris and Lori make everything from scratch. Found them on Google. The reviews were accurate. We had the 2 signature sandwiches on GF herbed focaccia. No ever has anything other than white store bought GF bread. Homemade GF focaccia, scratch made Mexican chowder and the cherry on top was dessert. GF cinnamon pull-a-parts with homemade butter cream frosting. Are you kidding me?!? They were unbelievable! I could eat way too many of these. This is a must if you are in town. Only open Thursday-Saturday 7:30-1:30. They spend the rest of the week making and preparing from scratch. Thanks Chris and Lori.

I was there a year ago today, as I live in the Twin Cities. My son worked in Faribault for the day and I tagged along. Crack of Dawn Bakehouse was my first stop, and it was fantastic! The cinnamon roll was so delicious, it took me back to my childhood at my Grandma's house. So fluffy and fresh and the frosting, oh my! I was 10 years old again, except I was also drinking a really fresh, nice cup of rich coffee with a good amount of cream (oops, a little too much!) and sugar. So good! ☕ Someday, I'll be back!

So awesome. Amazing gluten-free choices!!! As someone who has been gluten-free 10+ years, I must say, Crack of Dawn excels at providing spectacular GF options! Owners are friendly, kind, real, dedicated, and amazing at their craft! I highly recommend Crack of Dawn (beyond just GF, their soups, sandwiches, and rolls are so good!). The coffee is organic (so are many of their ingredients) are really great. The fam and I go at least once every weekend for coffee and rolls and to just chill. Tradition. This is my favorite place for eats in ALL of...
