If I could give minus stars I would. I've visited this White Castle 30 some years, it was much better back then, but businesses are only as good as the managers/management. Whenever I visit this location it's hit or miss whether the food will be great, okay, or completely unedible. Today it was disgusting, only the Coke was good. The young man taking orders at the drive thru wasn't paying attention, it was like he was preoccupied with something else besides his job. I ordered #2 combo, 2 double cheese sliders, fries, drink, & 6pc chicken rings. My order was no pickles & coke light ice. Get to window he asks if a had a Fanta drink, um no a Coke & then asks chicken sliders, again um no, 6pc rings not sliders. So now I'm sitting at the window waiting on the chicken rings. Unknown to me my 2 double sliders are sitting there getting cold. So by the time I get my food the burgers are cold, the fries seem like they have been refried in the hot oil to salvage them & some chicken rings that tasted weird. I am never coming to this location ever again. I drove from South Lyon, 8 mile & Pontiac Trail area to this White Castle. Never again, I will be driving to the Brighton location...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience during the overnight shift. I stopped by late expecting the same level of service I’ve received during the day, but was sorely disappointed. The crew consisted of an older woman and two younger men, and from the moment I pulled up, I felt rushed and unwelcome. They were not polite at all—no greeting, no patience, and definitely no sense of customer service.
To make things worse, when I got my order, the drinks were completely missing. I tried to address it, but was met with indifference like I was the inconvenience. As a former fast food manager myself, I know firsthand that accuracy and respectful customer interaction are the absolute basics of this job—especially during slower overnight hours when there’s more opportunity to focus on doing things right.
There was zero attention to detail, no courtesy, and clearly no pride in the work. If this location is letting this kind of service slide, then management needs to take a serious look at their overnight operations. Customers deserve better than being treated like a burden, and it’s not unreasonable to expect a correct order and basic respect.

Read moreUpdate September 2022: Same deal, late night White Castle run, placed order by app, went to pick it up. Of course it wasn't ready after waiting in the drive thru 25 minutes. Took another 5 minutes to get the burgers, fries and onion chips at the window. Why even use the app?
Dropped a star because each order was taking 5 to 10 minutes. I know there's a shortage of workers. They know the solution to the problem: PAY YOUR WORKERS MORE!
30 minute wait for an order placed on the app? They should be better than this.
It's a White Castle. My friend ordered on his phone on the way there, we got there and it wasn't ready on time, par for the course. Being White Castle, though, the little burgers were good as were the onion chips.
I even got to try the new Impossible Slider as my vegetarian niece offered me a bite. Not bad, but not a taste I'd seek out. I like my sliders greasy and loaded with onions, as they're supposed to be. ☺️
As always, a great late night munch with burgers, fries, and onion chips. Gotta have the zesty sauce for...
