WORST FOOD EVER HAD Imagine heading to a buffet with the excitement of trying out a variety of dishes, but things start going wrong from the moment you arrive. You notice that the restaurant is overcrowded, and the staff seems not welcoming. There are long lines at every station, and many of the food trays are either empty or have just the remnants of food left.
You finally make it to the main dishes, but the options are limited. You're particularly looking forward to the chicken curry, but when you reach the tray, it’s almost empty, with just a few pieces of chicken swimming in a greasy, thick layer of oil. Still, you give it a shot and scoop some onto your plate.
When you take your first bite of the chicken curry, you immediately realize something is wrong. The chicken is rubbery and has an odd, sour taste, as if it has spoiled. Alarmed, you quickly push it aside and try the other dishes, only to find that much of the food is either overcooked, bland, or outright stale.
As you glance around the buffet, you see that other guests are also visibly unhappy, some even leaving plates of food untouched. When you approach the staff to complain, they either ignore your concerns or give half-hearted apologies without offering any solution.
At this point, you're completely turned off, and when you ask for the bill, the price seems way too high for the poor quality of food and service you just experienced. Leaving the restaurant, you feel not only disappointed but also slightly nauseous from the questionable chicken curry, swearing...

We used to love Andhra Cafe — it was hands down one of the best South Indian spots in Detroit. But now? It’s a complete disappointment.
We drove two hours just to eat here, expecting the same quality and service we once trusted. Instead, we were met with rude, disinterested staff who didn’t even bother to respond properly or greet us. Forget friendly — they acted like they were doing us a favor by letting us order.
Out of three items we asked for, none were available — and not once did anyone mention that upfront. If you’re not serving certain dishes, put it on the menu or at least inform the customer. It’s basic courtesy.
The restrooms were filthy. The handwashing sink was completely clogged and water had flooded the floor. It was disgusting.
This place has gone from a 5-star favorite to barely scraping by with 2 stars. The food might still be passable, but when the staff treats you like they don’t care and the hygiene is this bad, it’s just not worth it.
Save your time. Andhra Cafe has lost what once...
Read moreRudest experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
I came in for the weekend breakfast buffet, completely hungry and expecting at least basic human decency. There were open tables, yet I was completely ignored. I stood there at the front while the man at the counter — likely the owner — saw me, and deliberately looked the other way. I even smiled politely. Not a single acknowledgment.
I waited over 20 minutes — not a word from staff. When I approached again and said I had been waiting a long time and just wanted a table, the owner didn’t just brush me off — he snapped at me rudely and coldly said, “If you want, you can leave.” No apology. No explanation. Just plain arrogance and disrespect.
This place doesn’t just lack customer service — it lacks basic respect for people. No one should be made to feel invisible and unwelcome at any business. I’ve never felt more disrespected in a public space, and I will make sure others know how this place treats paying customers. Avoid...
