George and John's Origjnal Burgers & Fries — Restaurant in Farmington

Had high hopes for this place, I prefer to go to small businesses. Several people recommended this place to me. But I won't be returning anytime soon. Placed a large order to go, so couldn't see the food until we got home. Everything was overcooked, the fries were close to just being burnt and had that burnt taste to it. The burgers were dry and those that had cheese on them weren't just caramelized but cooked to a crisp onto the dry burger. If the food was better prepared I think the patties would have had a good taste to them and if the fries weren't a dark brown almost black they would have been decent. But for the cost of the food, I was very disappointed. Hope others have a better experience and who knows this could have just been a one off. But as I said before, I won't be returning. Will be advising others looking for a place to eat an alternative...

Edited to add that the owner reached out to apologize for the quality. We went back to try them again and the 2nd time, the burgers were delicious! I only gave 4 stars because the fries and tater tots were super soggy.

Ordered 3 burgers through door dash after a very long day. All of the burgers were very over cooked, dry and flavorless. The few bites I had had to be washed down with water. They were so bad my dog wasn't interested after the piece I gave her. The bacon burgers had one tiny piece of burnt bacon under the dried out piece of overcooked cheese. The only way I found out there was bacon on them was when I pulled apart the hockey puck of a burger to give it to my dog because it was too horrible to eat myself. The bun was stale and burnt so it was so hard I couldn't even bite through it. Worst burger...

The burger was not salted, but fine, but the service was laughable. Same as other reviews: they gave me a pager when I ordered, and when I went back to check on my order after 20 minutes, my burger was sitting there for who knows how long, and the guy said he forgot to push the button for the pager. No apology, no acknowledgment of my room temperature burger, nothing. It’s also hard to get them to acknowledge you when you walk up...
