I gave this restuarant 1 star only because the food is good. We weren't treated very nicely however. I almost didn't write this review of our visit about a week and a half ago, because I had just decided I would just never go back. During 3 times of actually doing a sit down (we usually do carry out)..I always get the feeling of we really don't want your kind here but, your money is good with us so we will endure you...no smiles..no greetings. During my visits I have never seen too many people there. This particular time there was NO ONE in the dining room, but it took forever for the waitress to come and take our order. There is an obvious 2 way mirror that stretches across the whole wall of the kitchen so I'm sure SOMEONE had to see us come in.
Eventually our no smiles, no welcoming waitress came over. We got our food, and as usual it was good as well as inexpensively priced. During our meal two more guests came in and sat in the booth behind us. Well you would have thought Santa had come in for an early Christmas with a bag brimming with gifts! The waitress flew over to them with a loud greeting which made me turn around just in time to actually see a huge smile on her face!!
As we were finishing our meal an older gentleman came in and went into the kitchen. He eventually came out and sat in a booth right outside the kitchen. We finished and paid our bill and my husband went off to use the restroom before we left. I used this time to check out the huge fish aquarium near the front door..which was dirty with algae...poor fish. I turned to see the older gentleman peering at me from around the corner of the wall because his booth was blocked by the wall and he couldn't see me. Well he got up from his booth and moved UP to a booth with his newspaper so that he could see me! I sat down and waited on the bench for hubby. Older gentleman continued to look up at me from his paper every few seconds like I was going to run off with the aquarium. I felt very uncomfortable and told my husband we would no longer patronize this place as older gentlemans gaze followed us right out the door!
We found a great Thai place where there lady was bubbling over with kindness, helpfulness, and laughter...We enjoyed spending our money with her and the food was good...review later after some more sampling! 😋
Oh, and there was... near the end of the meal...that I thought I detected a glimmer of happy you are here from our waitress....when she came over as I was checking the Google reviews on my phone and I think she caught a glimpse of them as I sat my phone down on...
Read moreThis is THE BEST Chinese restaurant I have EVER been to. I'm here right now and decided to go glance at the google reviews out of our curiosity and was SHOCKED to see some of the harsh and negative ones. I've been coming here since I was a little girl, and my dad even before that, and we have never had a bad experience here. Eating in or carry out. The service is fast and the food is plentiful, hot, and delicious. It is family run, you'll often see one of their kids doing homework at one of the tables inside. They care about their customers and are always happy to accommodate requests, so I really don't understand some of these reviews. My only guess is they got something they normally don't get and we're absolutely shocked when it wasn't what they were expecting? I have no idea because the food here is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend the Almond Boneless Chicken, its all my family ever gets when we come here. Please do support this local, family-owned small business, you seriously...
Read moreIf I could put negative stars I would. The ice tea tasted like dirty dish water. I ordered pepper steak and chicken fried rice. The pepper steak was covered in goo like sauce and it was so disgusting tasting that I would even feed it to my dog. The fried rice was made with fake chicken and the taste was so horrible that I tried to cover it up with soy sauce and it still didn't help. The egg rolls were filled with brown vegetables....how does that even happen. The hot mustard was old and had gone bad. So basically I paid $40 bucks between my husband and I for food I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to eat. I dont understand how this place is still open. My only guess is that most of the customers are people that have no taste buds or people that regularly eat frozen food. But even then frozen...
