Went to Pino’s to dine in and had a less than desirable experience. First off the sign at the door said seat yourself, so we did. We sat for almost 10 minutes without anyone checking in. Finally a server came by and told us someone would be with us shortly, then another with the same line. I saw another table that had come in about 5 minutes after us getting menus from one of the servers that promised someone would be right over and I got up to go grab my own menus. I was met half way by a server who told me she was coming to our table, after 15 minutes finally had someone take our drink order.
Once the drinks came, we placed our order for food. Ordered a large pizza and a Stromboli as well as a salad and some cheesy bread, that came recommended, as appetizers. The salad came right out and after a while, we asked the server where the cheese bread was. She admitted that the kitchen forgot to make it, but it would be out shortly. Our pizza and Stromboli came out, and we were literally done eating when the server delivered our appetizer. I asked her to box it up to go without even dropping it, and to bring a box for the other left overs. Never an apology or a mention of taking it off the bill, just acted like nothing was wrong.
I’ve been a server before and I know mistakes happen, but be forward with solutions. I wouldn’t have been offended if she apologetically took it off the bill and kept it, we clearly weren’t going to eat it there anyway.
Overall I wasn’t impressed with the service, but the food is always great. Next time I’ll just take my order to go and save myself the hassle...
Read moreWell I really don't leave many negative reviews but I wasn't very happy with my first visit here . I arrived and had quite a wait before the waiter came to the table , he took my drink order and apologized for the delay, then it was another 8 minutes before he came back to take my order which was the works chicken on Ciabata bread , meanwhile two other parties came in and ordered, I waited 45 minutes before I received my meal , the waiter was very apologetic and I don't blame him at all , but what I didn't understand was the two groups that came in after me received their food long before I did...kinda crazy ! The waiter was the only one working in the dining area and they were extremely busy , I was tempted to just pay for the iced tea and leave. Needless to say it was my first and last time...
Read moreI was excited to try all of the restaurants around us since we just moved to Farmville but Pinos has def let me down. The first time I ordered fettuccine Alfredo I barely had enough sauce to even cover the noodles. The second time I made sure to ask for extra sauce and was given enough but the Alfredo just didn't taste good and also thickened up heavily once it cooled down. I have thought about ordering a sub but then realized that you do not receive a side with them; you have to pay extra even for chips. One night I ordered a mini white pizza and when I got home I had the wrong white pizza. They remade my pizza of course but never offered to comp me or give me any sort of discount for having to drive back there and wait an extra 15 minutes while the rest of my family was...
