It was not the food that caused me to give 1 star. It was the way the woman treated as we were getting ready to leave. I would totally blast her name if I knew what it was. My son's baseball team all met there for an end of the season celebration. There were 4 kids dropped off and 4 whose parents stayed to partake in the fun. So there was 16 people including the 3 coaches. The guy that waited on us was amazing. He got drink orders as people came in and got them back out fast. He was very attentive to keep up with who had what drinks and who needed to order. We ordered some cheese sticks, and they were out in no time. We ordered 4 pizzas and ended up ordering an additional 2 more. The team had a wonderful time eating, hanging out, and having a straw paper war. The problem occurred when the last few of us got up to leave. This hateful woman starts griping at the 2 players that remained because there were some straw wrappers on the floor, and a a drink had gotten spilled at some point in the evening. She acted like it was toxic waste. She goes and gets a broom and hands it to one of the boys and my husband stepped in and told the boy to go pick up the papers and he took the broom from him. He handed it back to the woman and continued talking to the boy telling him to get the papers up, but they can sweep the floor because that is why they get paid. She started running her mouth saying that they usually don't allow kids in there after my husband said that they were just kids having a little fun. So regardless of the $200+ we paid, she was worried about some straw papers ending up on the floor. So if you have kids, Be Aware that this Jets Pizza does not allow kids because kids are messy and should be locked away from the world. Apparently Jets Pizza is a very high class restaurant that has a dress code and their waiters wear tuxedos. Oh wait, it's just a hole in the wall pizza joint. The worst part about it was the two boys that cleaned up the mess did not even participate in the war. I do not recommend this particular Jets because if the way we were treated, but the food was wonderful, as was the guy with the nice French braided hair that...
Read moreTook my wife there for dinner was expecting to have a wonderful experience as we have with all other jet pizza locations we have visited including this one until now! We as usual went into the Farragut (Knoxville Location) and received the worst possible experience. We set down at the table after ordering our food at the register it was a $16 pizza and I left a tip in the jar beside the register, the guy was super friendly upon ordering the food. When they brought it out to the table the guy says one second when we opened the pizza box, and used 2 paper plates that were already placed on the table before we got there. He has the waitress who was apparently also the manager or shift lead come to tell us if you purchased the pizza (Togo) which "we did not" it was supposed to be an inside dining experience, then we can't eat it inside the restaurant because the general manager refuses to let people who have gotten (Togo) orders eat at the table since they won't be leaving a tip for the server! I thought that was strange and asked the lady if I leave you a $10 or $20 tip can I eat the pizza we paid for she was like maybe, but I will have to ask my manager if thats okay or not. This is absolutly unacceptable and needs to be looked at further the main night shift manager which I eventually talked to was a lot nicer about the situation and offered to let us eat in I even paid for a beverage that way it was more fair and left a small tip on top of that which still left me with a weird look! The issue is that "Tips" have become something that people expect as something mandatory even though leaving a $5 tip on a $16 order isn't enough when I eat out I always leave at least a "20-25% Tip" so I would be one to side with fairness, this is definently not stopping at this review, I was a past food service manager and this isn't something that is and/or was allowed to happen inside...
Read moreHad to drop something off at UPS next door and I literally stopped here on a whim because I was hungry. Ordered a slice of pizza 🍕 to go which took only all of 12 minutes and noticed there was a full bar here!? Oh. Mah. GAWD!!! BONUS! I never knew that Jets offers bar service!? Who knew, right?
I moved from Detroit to Knoxville (where Jets does not offer bar service oddly enough) and was so disappointed in the pizza joints around here. When you move from a place had the best pizza to struggling to find good pizza, you sure do miss it!
Getting back to the slice I ordered, I opened up the box not knowing what to expect and was OVERJOYED at the fact that I KNEW this was Detroit style pizza!!! It was like the gates of heaven opened up when I took the first bite! It. Was. That. GOOD!
We plan on going there Sunday and hopefully they will tune in the Detroit Lions football game for us if I tip them enough?
If not, going there for the pizza will be enough! Thank you for...
