Thereâs a reason Itâs Fate Creamery has 5 stars. From their amazing staff to their delicious ice cream, Fate couldnât have gotten luckier to have such an amazing small business in our community.
At first, I was devastated at their lack of mint chocolate chip, but I quickly forgot about my longtime favorite.
My youngest daughter didnât want a scoop of ice cream, she wanted a scoop of their homemade cookie dough. I donât think that thatâs a real offering, as they typically sell it by the pint, but they happily obliged and she was in absolute heaven. I will be back for a pint since their cookie dough is ACTUALLY edible!
My oldest daughter got their spookies and cream in a waffle cone, and was very happy.
My husband and I split a hot fudge sundae with their cookie butter and banana pudding ice cream with a warm brownie on top and đ¤¤đ¤¤đ¤¤đ¤¤.
Cookie butter is melt in your mouth. Yes, all ice cream is. But this is different. Itâs good - in fact, great.
But. The banana pudding is obscenely delicious.
I always enjoyed my Memaâs banana pudding, but this⌠made me love banana pudding and crave it. Long after the sundae was gone. It made me rethink my entire dessert menu for Thanksgiving and plan on how I would incorporate this amazing treat.
They also have freeze dried candy!
If you havenât tried Itâs Fate Creamery, get yourselves in there. Try every flavor. Enjoy their sweet staff and...
Read moreWow. How lucky am I to have this place open up 2 minutes from home? I can't remember the last time I ate such phenomenal home made ice cream.
I'm a big blue bell fan and the older I get the more of a foodie I become. I found my new favorite desert spot better than any store bought and it's so close! That could spell disaster but I'm willing to feed my inner fat kid for how affordable this place is! (now I have an excuse for no wash board abs. Sorry dear!)
I've tried 8 different types and not one has disappointed. I'd say my favorite is the cookies and cream and don't think it will be unseated as #1 on my list. The peanut butter cup is the perfect and not too overpowering, the cookie butter came in as a close second for my top pick. Chocolate was great, and the list goes on and on.
Basically if you like ice cream and don't want to spend a ton of money this is your spot! Perfect for the whole fam!
Only thing we are waiting on downtown fate, are some picnic benches and areas to sit outside while we chow down. Let's go David Billings!
See you again soon!
Update: still eating here constantly. Cookies and cream still #1. So many good flavors! Just had the sour apple and literally everyone in the family said the same thing, "omg. That's good. It tastes exactly like a granny Smith apple. I've never had sour apple taste exactly like an apple...
Read more10/5/21 - I was very excited to finally visit the ice cream shop in Fate. Unfortunately, I will not return. My son and I walked in just before closing one evening, and immediately the smell of chemicals or similar hit us. It was unpleasant, but not unbearable. It didn't smell like a cleaning product.
I also was a bit disappointed in the selection, but that could have been my personal preferences. I suppose what surprised me the most was the prices. I got a waffle cone double dip, and my son got a medium cup. The price with tax was almost $11. Ouch.
This ice cream was not any better than numerous other shops I've visited that also sell premium ice cream, and at the other shops, I pay a fair amount less.
To top it all off, when paying I was prompted to add a tip. Ok, I'm getting on my soap box, but I'll be brief. Tips are for those folks who spend time taking orders, bringing drinks, bringing food and more drinks so I can relax and enjoy a meal with my family.
Tips are not for McDonalds, Target, Walmart, Braums, or overpriced ice cream shops. Over the counter service is NOT TIP TERRITORY. People who EARN tips make a lower wage and spend a lot of time serving the customer. Please do not put me on the spot to either give or deny a tip to someone standing right in front of me. For these reasons, I WILL...
