I could see a 5-Star from some easy to please eaters who don’t cook much or someone who orders their favorite item often. Great service, very affordable menu, great selections, something for everyone, hot and fresh, fast food. Living here about two years we never came here for some reason, but I’m glad we did today. It reminds me of a diner in Marietta we used to go to. It can take you a minute to order because there’s so much to choose from. A gnat bothered us, hopefully it won’t be there when we come back. The place gives me the feeling like it was an Asian restaurant once before, no complaints just a notice. Nice restrooms. No diversity amongst Broadway superstar pictures in the hallway to the restrooms but they have different broadway professionals of color in the booths. Many dessert options and some daily specials. The free bread is always terrible at Diner’s.
-Fried okra was fair and green tomatoes were just ok & needed a little more seasoning.
-jalapeños fried were good, but they were jarred jalapeños, not fresh. They taste good with my tuna salad but too tangy because they’re from a jar.
-tuna salad with avocado was exactly what I wanted. It filled me up and was great priced. Very presentable. Add olives. The Greek dressing is delicious. The tuna salad could use a bit more seasoning, but with the dressing and olives, it was enough.
-whole catfish was good, but I couldn’t tell if it was fresh or from frozen. Hush puppies were delicious. The mushrooms were just OK but the green beans were delicious.
-The Reuben sandwich was fair
-I’ll try the waffle with pecan and caramel along with eggplant Parmesan that I took to go tonight and update my review.
-The potpie looked great but the inside was too thick consistency. The roast beef taste fair but wasn’t Au Jus sauce-more like gravy. The veggie hummus wrap is a great idea but the hummus looks like a processed type and it being somewhat the main item in the wrap was a little off. You really have to find your go-to items.
With so many options, it’s easy to find something you’ll like here or at least can eat. The food comes out fast and again the prices are good. If you get something that was just regular, then I can see you giving this place a four star, just pick something different next time lol. Sometimes with many options, some of the food comes out just regular with not a lot of savor because how can you make 1000 items from scratch. You’ll have to find your preferred items in the menu maze. I’d recommend this place and come back...
Read moreI took my 83 year old Aunt to lunch here a couple of months ago. I have waited to write this review to make sure I thought it through and did not write it based on emotions. I just want to state the facts. I have always loved Broadway Diner and they have great employees. This visit was different and I saw a side of three employees that disappointed me. Our server was Catharine . She was pleasant and took our order. She did not come to check on us after our food was delivered. When we needed drink refills I had to stand to get her attention. I needed to place a to go order and had to stand to get her attention. We finished our meal and waited for 15 more minutes for the to go order. I stood again and instead of acknowledging me she went back to the kitchen to (I assume) to check on the to go order. We waited for 10 more minutes and did not have a check or the to go order. We decided to go see if we could get help from the cashier. I told Tammy the situation and she said “your server will be by here in a minute”. She then went to the kitchen and came back and said they were getting it ready now. I continued to wait and voiced my displeasure but was not rude. I asked if I could just cancel the to go order and pay my check. Tammy was unconcerned and kept telling me to have a nice day. Finally I said “I am an unhappy customer. Don’t you even care?” Her response was “I don’t see the problem mam.” Finally the order was brought out and Tammy asked Catharine what the hold up was and continued with “backup in to go orders”. Of course Catharine said yes. I had not seen a single to go order brought our the entire time I stood there. As I continued to check out with Allie I asked if she had given me the senior discount. She said she had. I realized after I left that she had not given me the discount. Tammy continued to tell me to have a nice day with every comment I made. I was very upset at their uncaring attitude and walked over to get my aunt who had been sitting and waiting the entire time. I was told to have a nice day as they laughed at me. In my frustration I told them to go to hell. As I was walking out I asked Allie her name and her reply was “I don’t have to give you that information mam”. I looked back again as we were leaving and Tammy and Allie were laughing. I asked what was so funny. Allie’s response was “you mam”. No one ever apologized. I have not been back. I know Steve cares for his customers and I know Anita does also. Neither of them were...
Read moreBroadway Diner..... Nice, warm, and homey..... A great place to dine with friends or family. The staff are welcoming and friendly and have a smile on their faces all around. I stumbled across this little diner by chance while out shopping for a gift for a friend. It was between them and a bbq place on the other end of the building... I am so glad I chose to walk in and check it out. The menu was amazing!!! They have everything a person could want. Some people might think it's a little pricey but I say the food and service are well worth it. I just want to thank Nadia and Steve for a wonderful dining experience. They had some great suggestions of plates for me.... due to me having a procedure done on my mouth I couldn't eat a lot of things on the menu.... But oh how I wish I could..... You'd best believe I will definitely be back to try their pork chops and Reuben sandwich.... But this time I had the Broadway chicken on top of rice with vegetables.... The cream was a little heavy for my liking but oh gosh the flavor was exceptional. Just the right amount of crunch in the bite with the juiciness in the middle... My boyfriend had the meatloaf with corn and mashed potatoes with gravy.... I of coarse absolutely had to have a bite of it.. Lol... It was cooked so well... Meatloaf can always go either way. Too mushy, too dry, too flakey..... But no... This meatloaf held together nicely and was juicy and flavorful. Almost the perfect meatloaf... But It had too much... And I'm not sure... Of what tasted like thyme to me... But Steve said it was oregano.... I could be wrong... Nonetheless it was still delicious. I of coarse had no room for desert but their display of cakes was beautiful... I can't wait to go back and hopefully be able to try other things on the menu. Its so exciting to know that there is just so much more.. I'm going to bring my family next time... This is a place they would definitely like. I'll post more when I taste more.... Go ahead and...
