I ordered Country Benedict with crispy bacon. I also ordered the potatoes due to the staff telling me they were cooked on the grill and not deep fried as I specifically said that fried potatoes are not that good in general, so I ordered them. What I got was sausage instead of bacon and I could tell immediately that the potatoes were deep fried.
After I told the server about the issue, the manager brought over a brand new plate of food with the hash browns and bacon on it this time. I had already eaten the eggs and a half of biscuit off the original as they didn't get to me until I had eaten that much. The hash browns were way under cooked and almost soggy and bacon was floppy not well cooked either.
Maybe my definition of crispy bacon is different than there's, but I did notice on the ticket it said well and not crispy.
Charged me full price and gave me a gift card which I dont know the value but my guess would be 5.00.
So I paid 18 for 2 scrambled eggs and half a biscuit and an 8oz glass of milk. The eggs and gravy tasted good, but that isnt enough for me to come back. Oh yeah I got a gift card with an in store value of 5.00 but that cost to them is probably around 1.25 if food cost is 25%, so basically a crappy coupon.
Great way to start. I wont be coming back, that...
Read moreThis is the kind of restaurant that makes me wish I lived in Fayetteville. Our server Kaitlyn was amazing, from the first time she greeted my husband and I at the front desk she made us feel at home. She was attentive throughout our meal. She made sure to get our food and additional items we asked for all out at the same time. She never hovered but anticipated when we needed more coffee. The food at The Big Biscuit was amazing. We came in for breakfast, we started with a sticky biscuit, it was fresh and so good with coffee. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was actually a steak, excellent if you like CFS. I had the oatmeal, I know kinda boring but I order it all the time at restaurants and you'd be surprised at how many restaurants just don't know how to make it. TBB made it perfectly, not runny, not thick but just right. Overall this is one of those restaurants that is a go to for Saturday or Sunday breakfasts with family or if you have the opportunity to eat out before work, this is your place. Don't miss out, try it, you will find yourself coming back. PS - don't be surprised if Fred comes by your table to say hello, ask about your day and make you feel at home, thank you Fred we enjoyed talking to you. You have an amazing warm...
Read moreWe were looking forward to this new restaurant but saw the crowds and the full lot. Drove by Wednesday around 1:00 and saw lots of parking. Only 3 or 4 tables were taken We placed our order and waited for coffee . Waitress came and gave us each a half cup from her carafe saying she would be back with more (never happened). We waited a long time for our order. There were only 3 tables taken by then. Finally our order came but no french toast or biscuit. Another 10 minutes before they arrived. Still no coffee. We told her we were unhappy our food took so long and our meal was cold by the time we got our sides and still no coffee. She rudely said she was busy bussing tables. Said she would give us coffee to go no charge. We said no thanks. Didn't want coffee from her by then. She practically threw the check on the table. The Food. Egg dishes were standard. Eggs overdone, one dish eggs were cold. French toast was OK, The biscuit though large was nothing special, considering Biscuit is in the name of the restaurant, bland and taste of flour. We wont go back. There are too many other breakfast places to deal with rude service. Drove by today about the same time, the lot had only 3 cars. What is the message here? An empty lot...
