H.J. Wings & Things — Restaurant in Fayetteville

I took my family here tonight. The wings were very good along with our cucumber salad & texas toast. The service was a little slow but it was understandable and not a huge inconvenience. Our server was nice and made sure we were taken care of except when it came to our bill. Today is Wednesday and we came for the 75 cent wings. Our server billed us for a combo (because we ordered fries with each order) and when I explained that we weren't billed for the 75 cent special per wing and charged additional for sides she said I was incorrect. Technically, she said it was cheaper as the combo than on the special, but when you do the math (12 wings on special= $9 + $3.50 fries + $1 ranch) does not equal $18.99 before tax. I tried explaining one more time, politely, that it isn't cheaper than ordering the sides separate, which is what we intended when the order was placed but she disagreed. I didn't want to make it into a big deal so I just paid the bill without further discussion. The wings were delicious but I still left with a sour taste from the awkward dispute. Update they have a few new people working. We again sat for 20 mins no menu or drinks we were a out to walk out and go to wing stop. The waiter finally brought us our menu and walked off came back 15 mins later with her pad and sidnt ask any questions. Gave her what we wanted and left came back slammed our drinks on the table and didnt say anything. Got our food and every bit of it is wrong. Tge waiter is acting like shes stupied and runs off. We will never be back. I will be doing some research on wings and things to find the main office is and fill a complaint.

Went to eat spent a hour and a half. Took our order spent 30 mins waiting on food while everyboday else got theres. 30 mins eating and another 30 mins waiting on our ticket which was high for 2 people. 24 dollars and some change for 2 people. I like this restaurant. They have really good wings and their other food is good too. There is a problem, but I understand where the owners are coming from. We went for .50 wings on Wednesday. I understand that it is dine in. The problem is that they won't give you a "to go" box when you are finished. If you don't eat all your wings, you can't take them home. I get that people will order more so they can get some to go. But it was weird leaving 4 wings that we had bought. If you go any other time, it's great, but that is what you should consider if you go for their special on Wednesdays. It's not enough to keep me from eating there, but I probably won't go for the Wednesday...
