I had been going to this restaurant for about a year but had to start going to their location in Fayetteville, GA, because the other location had closed. I had only gone there 2 times, and today's visit will be the last time. This locations staff have been so rude as the first time they got my order wrong and would not fix the order or reimburse me for their mistake so I had not gone back until today and I bought 3 Carnita dinners at $16.00 a piece and Guacamole for $5.50 for 4 ounces and I was shocked as it was not the container I use to get from their other location, it was a small container like what they put the salsa in so I weighed it and it came out to 3.04 ounces with the container so I called them as I'm sorry but $5.50 for this little container is way too much. I cook my own Mexican food as I am Mexican Indian but there are times you don't feel like cooking so I spoke to a man who answered and he began to argue with me even when I told him I had weighed it, he said " how do you know?" I told him again and I said yes the container says he will hold 4 Oz but I explained there isn't that in the container but he was very rude so I did say I could show them but the point was just that they are not giving people what they are advertising homemade beans are not homemade, tortillas are not homemade and for the price they are charging people they could at least give them decent customer service instead of arguing with them and laughing at them. I could make that amount of guacamole for .50 cents or less they even made me pay $1.50 for a hot sauce as their regular one isn't spicy at all so instead of giving me a little container they charge me for it and it didn't weigh 4 Oz either. I have never experienced such rude behavior from a restaurant when they were the ones who had made an error. The first time, they wouldn't even reimburse me for their error of over $10.00, and this time, they should be ashamed of themselves seeking that amount of guacamole for $5.50. but at least give there customers the 4 ounces they are stating they are giving since the customer is the one...
Read moreWant great customer service AND great food? This is the place to go! This was the first time we had visited in several years and were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted and seated immediately and were brought complimentary chips and salsa.(Both really fresh and good!) The restaurant and menus were both very clean, we were off to a good start. The food was served very quickly and was HOT! Our server made sure everything was to our liking and was great about keeping our water glasses filled. The food tasted great, was fresh, and was a very large serving size. I ordered a Churro for my son, not realizing this was an event all of it's own and would be enough to feed us all. The 4 Churros were brought out in a "Churro Cart" and were served with chocolate sauce and whipped cream with sprinkles. This would be such a fun thing to celebrate a birthday, it made us feel like we were celebrating something ourselves. As we were getting ready to leave, I noticed our server going to the front of the restaurant. When we got to the front door, she and another employee were there to open the doors for us and to again thank us for dining with them. The customer service was the best we have ever had, at any restaurant. The employees were all smiling and made us feel like they were happy to be there, something you don't often experience in any service type industry. I like to support small businesses, especially businesses that make an effort to show appreciation for supporting them. We will definitely be back to dine at Sabor A Mexico again and highly recommend you give it a try. And, don't forget to order the churros for dessert, it will put a smile...
Read moreEaten at the majority of Mexican restaurants in Fayette county, and Sabor is in the top two! Truly authentic flavors with street tacos, house made corn tortillas, huaraches, gorditas (no, not Taco Bell's version!), Tamale -Rojo and verde, and on and on! We love the street tacos with , of course, house made corn tortillas . Asada is tender and fresh, seasoned perfectly, barbacoa always on point, but not a fan of the chorizo, as it's been super salty the two times we've eaten it. Our friend always orders the fajitas, and it's perfect; more than enough for one person while being priced reasonably. There are always specials, the prices are right, portions generous and the service is always exceptional the dozen or more times we've eaten there. It's a nice, clean, cheerful hole in the wall in a strip shopping center, nothing fancy, but the food is better than the other 100s of Mexican restaurants in Fayette County. If you're looking for ground beef, drowning in a super salty sauce, this may not be your place. When you see Latinos eating at a Mexican or other Latin American restaurant, you get an idea it's the real deal. We love the authenticity, fresh flavors and service at Sabor- never...
