As I’m sitting on the patio trying to remember what drink I ordered 25 minutes ago, I thought I’d tell people about my experience.
I sat down, ordered a Diet Coke and was told they had Pepsi. I immediately lowered my expectations because they obviously are more concerned with cost-cutting than quality. However, I didn’t lower my expectations enough.
When my food finally arrived (pulled pork plate with cream corn and sweet potato tots), I was very disappointed. It took a while to get to me. Based on the temperature of my food the wait wasn’t because of the time to cook my food, it was neglected by my server as my food was very cold.
This location is great and the patio is nice, but the food and service are very underwhelming. I won’t be returning. They’ve let me down for the last time.
Edit: I can’t respond to the establishment’s comments so I will elaborate here.
You are a privately owned restaurant. You aren’t under a national contract that requires you to serve Pepsi, you choose to (and I know Pepsi is the. cheaper option than coke). Pepsi is trash. Poll 100 people and you may find one that prefers Pepsi. The fact you serve it tells me one of two things:
You don’t drink cola and chose the cheapest, not taking into account what your customers want.
You actually think Pepsi is superior to Coke, in which case all your taste choices are suspect and this is why you allow cold, bad tasting food to be served.
You may not think it’s a big deal, but your customers do. When I go to Ruth’s Cris and have a steak, I want a nice glass of wine. If all they have is wine in a box, I’m not coming back. That’s what you are offering your customers.
I implore you to take this as constructive criticism and poll your customers as to what they like. I know you’ll find people that refuse to visit a Pepsi establishment, we are many. Please offer us quality products, don’t...
Read moreSorry guys, this is the worst BBQ in the world. While I realize I am probably a BBQ snob since I have had the experience of living in the BBQ capital of the world - we stopped by this place and I immediately regretted it.
It took 20 minutes for the staff to “figure out” they had a table (our small party) seated and waiting on an introduction and drink order. Sure that’s a lot to ask for, there was a large party of 6 adults and 5 kids nearby - the was a little hustle and bustle that quickly settled and the huge table remained filthy the entire time we sat in the restaurant (which was far too long).
Appetizer - sausage and cheese plate. Sausage looked raw. Literally looks like hunks of bologna but without flavor. I seriously wondered if it was meant for human consumption. Cheese was ok, sausage was tolerable with copious amounts of hot sauce.
Ribs - must be where the sausage comes from??? Weird texture, colder than room temperature and tastes like a solid Vienna sausage - but a little less flavorful than potted meat.
No exaggeration, this food was gross.
It honestly felt wrong to pay for this “food” but we’re not those kind of people. I’ll eat the crap and pay the bill, then tell the world how bad it was to save you a bout of food poisoning.
As I sit here, 5 hours later… if I think about the “ribs” I honestly feel nauseated.
Brisket was kind of ok, very fatty though. Have to pick out the lean pieces.
Sides were delicious! Beans were probably the best I’ve had.
But something is wrong...
Read moreThe location on College Ave is phenomenal with great food and great service. This one however sucked. It lacked professionalism and the atmosphere was horrible. Took 15 minutes for our server Matice to greet us and bring out waters. When she did we tried to order appetizers and alcoholic beverages. 10 minutes after she supposedly put everything in, some random server comes over to check our IDs. We oblige and he says okay and walks away. Five minutes later another lady comes around to check our IDs and states she’s the GM. Then she goes back to the back and sends the other male server over to us saying he’s not going to serve us. We asked why and he proceeded to mumble the same spiel, that we’re not going to serve you. They have the right to refuse service to anyone but he stated that they believed our IDs weren’t real. I didn’t wait 21 years to drink alcohol and enjoy a night with my friends to be turned away with such disrespect. And also, why didn’t the GM come out again and tell us herself versus a random server? If you’re not trained in looking at out of state IDs in a town where a lot of out of state people drive through, then get educated. If you look young, but you’re over the age of 21, recommend dining somewhere else. They won’t take care of you here and are...
