Today I came in and had a great experience with the cashier as they taught me about the app and how I had many points to have free food items. But then when I got my food I realized my tofu taco was made incorrectly. Had they forgotten one thing I wouldn’t care like forgetting the lime or pico but it didn’t have either and it had cojitia cheese. So I went up to the expo to state my tofu taco was made incorrectly. Which the response was “what you mean” well I mean it’s made wrong . Appropriate response is “I’m so sorry. Could you tell me what’s wrong so I can let the line cooks know” (that’s if you as expo don’t know how the taco should be made. I use to work here in college and eat here regularly) so when she brings it back I’m gaslit with “so it wasn’t made wrong they just forgot the pico” okay well that DOES mean it was made incorrectly and I kinda lost it and told her how I worked here before and how the taco should be made. For anyone wondering it’s tofu, poblano salsa, cabbage, corn, avocado, pico and a lime. I told her it should NOT have the cotija cheese. She was going to take it back and I said no I’ll eat it bc I know they would have to remake it bc you cannot pick that cheese off and I like that cheese but it def changed the vibe of the taco. The most irritating part is being told it wasn’t made incorrectly. Because yes actually it was . Not sure what has happened to costumer service over the years and actually I understand why Karen’s exist the older I get. Also the Mexican cream corn is extremely hot and I’ve written this whole post and eaten my tacos and just now might be able to eat it without burning my mouth.
Also I will mention this is not my first bad experience. They regularly mess up my orders in the drive thru and through deliveries and I have not complained unless an actual item was forgotten like my cookie . One time my drink was forgotten in a delivery order and they would not pick up the phone which I’m sure it had to of been a busy night but at this point I’m not getting a refund on a drink from like...
Read moreI really like this place, they've made the best of a parking lot location in a strip mall, I wish their patio had more shade, but it's a lovely the building common nicely decorated. I appreciate what they're trying to do by donating some proceeds from each meal to help feed hungry people in various locations. Their food is amazing. I would give it 5 stars except, like a lot of places lately, some of their recipes seem to try just a little too hard to be creative, fusion gourmet, and trendy. It's hard to describe, I guess I just think some recipes sacrifice a little bit of flavor and enjoyability in an attempt to be different for the sake of different. For example, Mexican food has been putting queso fresco on tacos for ages because the flavor just works with the meat and spices used. Sure, adding something like feta can add a different twist, but it can also be "fixing" something that wasn't broken. Or even, breaking it in the attempt to improve on it when it was a fine classic recipe to begin with. I feel like with the great quality of ingredients and the excellent skill of their cooks, they could just let the classic combinations speak for themselves as the really good quality of ingredients and food comes through. That said, they have a lot of offerings that I really enjoy, and like a already mentioned, the quality of ingredients and preparation is excellent. It's not hard to just asked them to leave off or a substitute a weird ingredient. As usual with a lot of the more trendy places I have been lately I find the portion sizes to be just a tiny bit on the small side. It's awkward because if I ordered one more side item, or one more extra taco, I wouldn't quite finish it. But at the same time, the portion sizes as they come leave me still wanting to snack just a little bit. That might just be me, although I've had a couple friends make similar remarks. If you're somebody who eats a lot of small meals throughout the day instead of one larger meal, you'd probably find the...
Read moreI just wanted to really express how pleased I am with this restaurant and the staff, it is so hard to take my 15 year old son who has autism to new eating establishments especially when I do not know the price range of the food served because my son is so picky but this place really went above and beyond for us. My son ordered a burrito but minus almost everything and my son did not like it so the lady at the register, Gina, went and got the manager Molly to see if my son could order something else that he might like at no charge and Molly was very happy to do it and as a single working mom that was such a blessing because I do not have time to cook good food or spend quality time with my boys and the staff was so accommodating and really made the time we were they so enjoyable and my son ended up liking the quesadilla without beans and we all three got to sit down and enjoy a really good meal together for the first time in a long time. A crew member named Scotland was so helpful and one of the crew members from the back came up to our table and refilled our drinks without hesitation but he didn’t have a name tag on so I do not know it. As far as people complaining about the portion size and not getting full I just don’t understand because we had so much leftover that we can eat on for days... the quality of the food is superb and is what I imagine famous people eat everyday and I will gladly spend money on such quality service, friendly atmosphere, and gourmet food. We will be returning often .. thank you T4L !!!!!!!!! I would keeping bragging on them but I have made this long...
