Been meaning to try this place for years and finally tried it for the first time today. I have to say, the experience was incredibly underwhelming. The Hostess/Server? who seated us was kind and sat us quickly. We sat for a bit before being greeted by our server who didn't give us their name. We ordered a couple of hot Triune Lattes to start. We waited 5 minutes for waters we didn't order (which I ended up being thankful for) and another 10-15 minutes before anyone checked in on us or brought us our coffee. When the coffee was finally delivered it was slammed down in a fashion that splashed all over me and the table. The server then ran off immediately after. No napkins were brought after the spill and we just couldn't get their attention. It just felt like they were actively ignoring us. They didn't stay long enough at the table for us to even say anything, never even asking if we needed anything else. Not only did it take the coffee that long to get to us, the portions, taste (of the same Latte), and cleanliness of the cups varied. We had to send one coffee back to be remade due to the lipstick type substance on the cup. Which took another 5-10 minutes. We got our biscuit basket at about the same time as the coffee. The biscuits are delicious! The server didn't come back around for a while to check in, so when they finally did, we just asked for the check. I will say, it's not the coffee, not the service, but the food. We only had the biscuits before deciding we were through having that frustrating experience. I'd definitely try this place again but perhaps a different location or even just takeout. Look, I have a career in this industry, I'm understanding, I'm patient. It's rare that I cut an experience short like this, but when I'd rather just pay for my drinks and appetizer, as opposed to staying for an entree or even dessert it's just not going well. It was just an incredibly disappointing first experience.
Food - 4/5 stars: I didn’t get to taste more than biscuits before being over it. But the biscuits were that good. Service - 1/5 stars: Just bad Atmosphere - 3/5 stars: Not quite dirty, but the vibes seemed tense and like there wasn’t any...
Read moreThese biscuits are not all created equal. We were thrilled with the Bentonville BB, however today was our 2nd visit to the Fayetteville location. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish.
During our first visit, the restaurant seemed to be overwhelmed and understaffed. Our server didn't know the menu and we were served all at different times. Many systems were lacking, and the explanation we received was simply "we are understaffed." While we understood the challenges, it left us with a less than satisfactory impression.
Giving it another chance, we visited again today, hoping for a better experience. However, our hopes were quickly dashed. As soon as we received our cups, we noticed they were dirty. Though they were technically clean, coffee stains remained that could be scratched off with you finger, suggesting a lack of attention to detail in their cleaning process.
Furthermore, the portions we received were shockingly small compared to what we had experienced at the Bentonville location. I ordered the Tuscan dish, and when it arrived, I was taken aback by the minuscule portion. It was so disheartening that I wished I had taken a picture to showcase the stark difference in serving size. Flavor was great but can only imagine how small portion would have been had I not added the extra chicken sausage ($13 for only a few bites).
My husband ordered the chicken and waffles, and the plating was nothing short of sloppy. The presentation for kids unicorn pancake were messy and not what we had hoped to celebrate granddaughter's graduation. The worst part was the portion size of the eggs accompanying the chicken and waffle dish. They were pathetically small, and our server even acknowledged this flaw and returned with additional scrambled eggs. He was great.
Overall, our experience at the Fayetteville location was far from satisfactory. The lack of attention to cleanliness, the noticeably smaller portions, and the poor plating left us feeling disappointed and unimpressed. It is regrettable that we won't be returning to this location, as we had hoped for a comparable experience to the...
Read moreMy dining companion and I stopped in around 11:30 am, prime dining time. There were multiple open tables, and we were seated immediately. Our server was very pleasant. We both ordered the same item, the Biscuit and Gravy Meal which included a large biscuit, sausage gravy, two eggs and fried red potatoes. The only difference between our orders was that I had scrambled eggs and my companion ordered eggs sunny side up. We had water with our meal as drinks would add a substantial cost to the bill and we had already had our morning coffee. The dishes were timely served. First, I want to say that the biscuits were delicious, and the sausage gravy was excellent. The first bite of my eggs showed the flavor was of overdone eggs. I took my fork and turned over a large hunk of egg and saw that the bottom of the congealed mass was brown. I did point out the cook error to the server and two fresh scrambled eggs were on their way. My companion loved their sunny side up eggs, but the potatoes missed the mark beginning with texture. They were finely diced allowing for a fast cook time but in this case the potatoes were hard, chewy, and served cold. I did not enjoy nor finish my potatoes, but I did not bring this to the attention of our server. My companion requested replacement potatoes, and our server brought more to the table, and they were particularly good. The potatoes were again diced, but the pieces were larger and served hot. I wish I had sent mine back. My replacement eggs were still overcooked and greasy with butter, but I was not going to reorder. Our server was sympathetic to our underwhelming dining experience. There are too many restaurants serving a great breakfast in the neighborhood. We will not go back to The...
