Teriyaki Seafood Express — Restaurant in Fayetteville

I ordered 3 plates of Teriyaki Steak with noodles. Food: Too Salty and too much MSG. Noodles too watery and looked like they were old. Service: The food took forever to be done and I witnessed the front counter girls trying their hardest to do damage control for the cooks in the back because they kept forgetting to include something in the orders or just messing up the order completely. Unfortunately, my order was also part of the mistakes being made by the cooks. When we went back in to have the order corrected, the front desk girls were too busy on their cell phone to pay attention to get the order back to us. We had to remind them to pay attention and please get our food. Atmosphere: Cleanliness was not up to par and I’d say 98% of the tables were dirty and the floors had a bunch of debris. Random trash was scattered throughout the dining area and near the drink area. Needless to say, the Bathrooms were not clean either. The Air conditioner was running full blast, but it was too cold for my liking. Outside patio area: There was a super cheap TEMU special bounce house and random trash throughout. A huge ashtray on the opposite side of TEMU bounce house and used chalk sticks all over the ground. More Temu special solar lights wrapped the surrounding patio fence and a bicycle chain was used to lock a gate. Unfortunately, the outside building matched the patio and drive through had a sign that was hanging too low and would hit larger vehicles going through. I’d suspect the grommets on the sign would scratch the paint as well. Signs were made from plain paper and markers could be seen hanging in the drive through area too. Parking lot: the parking lot was the only area that did not have too much trash or disorganization. Some bushes were over grown near the stores Dumpster area and could use some manicuring.

Overall: The cleanliness and experience killed everything for me. And as of now while writing this review, I now have an upset stomach...

Update: 🗣️ Customer Service was much better this go round. They still had a few customers who had items left off their order so the kitchen needs to pay more attention to tickets & keep orders uniform. Overall the Chicken x Shrimp today was night & day difference... much better and actually had some teriyaki sauce on it. The size of the shrimp matched the price. Everything had the flavor it needed. Wait time is still 15 to 20 minutes but I can't complain when something's being cooked fresh. I would visit again if the order today was consistently served. 😎🔥💯 The last two food pics are what the return order looked like.

Original Review: Just visited the New* Teriyaki Express on Yadkin Rd (Old Churches Building) Ordered in the drive-thru a Chicken & Shrimp Teriyaki Combo with Fried Rice (+.75 extra) got told to go to spot #1 after about 20 minutes my order was delivered but it was wrong (No Chicken) 😞 had to go inside and get the rest of my order another 10 minutes. I know they are New but it was literally just me at the time ordering and a quick meal turned into a 30 minute ordeal. The shrimp are fairly sized some semi-sweet flavor from the teriyaki but the teriyaki chicken is like chicken and broccoli chicken there isn't much of anything to it not the grilled flavor I'm used to. The fried rice is very bland if it didn't have any vegetables in it I wouldn't even know it was fried rice. 😭 Hopefully they fix the kinks for the future. Will I leave my go-to Hibachi spot for them NO ... They have potential but alot of things to fix....

Soldiers, very happy to report the following. Today, August 17th, 2025 this business had their soft opening and let us tell you...we were very impressed. Upon arriving early in the year I tried shrimp fried rice from a place just outside Yadkin Gate and sadly I only ate a few bites I threw the food away. Today, my son brought chicken plate with really good fried tasty rice and veggies even included squash or zucchini. The meal was well worth returning. They definitely deserve my positive comments.

We are your local barbers of choice at My Barber we are fat so we know good food when we taste it. We also know our cutting hair skills for our soldiers.

Highly recommend you give this place a shot...if you don't like it don't come back but it will be hard...look at me...tried it today and a review is in order for...
