American Deli — Restaurant in Fayetteville

I decided to go here on my lunch break. Although there was only ,1 person taking orders during a very busy time she was very pleasant and fast. I placed my order and waited. During my wait I watched the owner/manager whom looked to be of Asian decent serve one table of about 6 other people that favored him. It was clear these people were family or friends of his. Anyway after about 15 minutes the nice cashier told me the manager had not started to prepare my order. I looked back and he was again at the table with his friends. I waited until he was finished talking and going back into the kitchen and politely said Sir I placed an order 17 minutes ago and it is not being prepared. He snatched my receipt and walked to the cash register. I continued to try and explain what was happening in a mild tone a he sushed me. I then said you shouldn't be giving all of your attention to no paying customers. I asked for a refund 20 minutes into my lunch break. He aggressively refunded the money back to my card and turn his back. I then reminded him I had been waiting for 20 minutes and he should at least provide a coupon. He looked at me and said No you are rude and walked away as I stood there. I had not disrespected this man in anyway simply voiced my concern for the food I expected. I will...

My kids and I have been wanting to try this place for some time now. We finally made it there today. We ordered the Reuben combo, Philly combo, Wings combo and I ordered a side of fried shrimp. My daughter loves wings and she said that she enjoyed the mild wings that she got. My son got the garlic parmesan wings. I like dry rub wings so when I saw that it was wet, I knew I wasn’t going to like it. I tried it and yes, I didn’t like it. My son and daughter said that it was very flavorful. My daughter’s mild wings were dryer than the garlic parmesan so I thought it tasted ok. My rueben sandwich had a good amount of corned beef and sauerkraut. It was a pretty filling sandwich that I only ate half of it. The fries come unseasoned but they have seasoning in the front of the counter of things that you can add to put on your fries. The winner for me was the fried shrimp. It came with cocktail sauce. It was super crunchy and it just paired real well with the cocktail sauce. The drinks were refillable and they had other choices other than coke products on the fountain machine. The workers were friendly and the place was clean. The prices weren’t overly priced. I highly recommend American Deli if you want great food and great service. This restaurant is so clean that you probably could eat off the floor..Even though I would not suggest doing so lol. I ordered the # 9 with a small chef salad and sweet tea..All I can say is everything was good. My server, Keondra was awesome and she explained to me everything on the menu but she already had my attention at Philly Steak lol. She did a great job on the sweet tea, So if you decide to check this place out and she made the tea..GET IT!😊I didn’t get the singing cook in the back name but he was very entertaining and awesome as well.
