A friend invited us to this place for her birthday dinner last Saturday. I was a bit apprehensive to go because of the distance from my home (a 45 minute drive from Marietta). However, after getting there it was well worth the drive! When I first got there, I thought I was at the wrong place because initially the building was built for a middle school! I found that out after the fact. When you first walk in, it did look like a middle school, but when you turn to the right, the look change like day & night! It looked like a total different place, from the inside of the restaurant, to my surprise! It was set up nicely. The ambiance was great and there was a lady singing on the stage in a nice mellow tone along with a pianist. The staff was very attentive and everybody helped. You didn't have to wait for your waitress to help if you needed something. This would be a great place for date night, family gatherings or for any celebration where you want a nice, low key setting. They had wine and beer, but no mix drinks I believe. Most of all, the food was phenomenal! I give the quality a thumbs up. Everything was so tasty and seasoned just right.....I mean everything! I'm the type who samples everything on a buffet just to see if I would like it or not. Since it was a Saturday they had seafood such as crab legs, fried fish, shrimp, grilled salmon and lots of other stuff including sides (too much to name..check out menu online). My check totaled $34 including the gratuity because we had a party of 25. So worth the drive....getting hungry again while writing about it! Will be...
Read moreDespite a few negative comments I have to say my experience was far from negative. I utterly enjoyed myself from the moment I walked into the lobby area. I was greeted by the sweetest young lady but when she told me how much it would be per person I almost turned around like I saw a few other people do. Anyway, I thought to myself that I wasn’t feeling up to cooking on this Friday evening after work so let me try it out. I’m so glad I did because it was something I dreamed about in the past. I’ve always wanted to open a Restaurant with Live music, a dance floor and great food. The menu for the evening included an All you can eat buffet and a choice of half of a Lobster or a cluster of crab legs. Honestly, I would have appreciated if it was a whole Lobster tail instead but it was still delicious as a teaser. One of the staff members kept me laughing while also helping me to navigate the place being this was my first time. I believe he was a staff member from the Kitchen and I wish I asked his name so I could personally thank him for making my visit as memorable and pleasant. At one point he had to tell me to ask my Server I guess I was getting on his nerves but hell I didn’t see her as often as I saw him, respectfully. Nawl, I’m kidding I don’t think it bothered him at all that I was asking him questions. The food looked good and the buffet area was pleasantly neat and clean. I will try the Breakfast/Brunch one weekend when I’m in town. I highly recommend this establishment as it is worth the price and the Entertainment was a...
Read moreHi we attended this establishment as an invite to my aunt's 70th birthday party. First of all, the drive was a bit far, and it's inside of an actual studio/ school..but that was cool.. although I read the reviews ( which were not very good) we wanted to try it anyway,to support a black owned business. We arrived about 5:30pm, the line was very long so we had high hopes about the food. THE FOOD: Everything looked nice, they serve you ( like they do at PICADILLY restaurant) When we finally sat down to eat, the food was cold- after paying $35 each,,who wants to eat cold food????..I mean REALLY? Although flavorful,it was all cold. That threw my husband off so bad,he only had 1 plate. I liked the salmon patties, salmon and cold green beans,so I asked the very nice waitress about the food being cold, she apologized and went to get me a second plate, which was better as far as temperature. To THE MANAGER- Please get this matter under control..your concept is nice- but serving cold food just doesn't leave a lasting impression with us,and for that ,we probably won't return,or recommend unfortunately. But we did enjoy the piano player and the singing...hope noone had the Covid virus! Or it would be a super spreading mess! ( Get there early or you get cold food) THE END..service was very good though..but only took away two stars because of the...
