Basically had as bad of a restaurant experience as you can possibly have here. We arrived and told it would be about an hour wait to get a table for 5 on the rooftop, which seemed reasonable. 1.5 hours later we were told by the host that there was a party of 2 camping out at the only table on the rooftop that could seat more than 4 people, and that they had been there for “4 hours”. Ok... I asked if they would be able to have a manager ask the table if they could move to the bar, and if not that we would take the next available table outside. 15 minutes later the manager came up to our group and rudely asked if there was anything she could do for us... I asked if we could be seated at the rooftop and if not could we take the next available table. Her response was “as long as we’re not saving it for anyone else”. Um, maybe you should be saving it for my group that had been waiting for 90 minutes? We reluctantly agreed to sit down on the downstairs patio, where it took another 10 minutes to even be greeted by our server. Since we had been waiting, we all knew what we wanted to order and put our order in right away. From there, the service was miserable. They never sent our appetizer, they got our drinks wrong, they didn’t get our orders correct, etc. the server acknowledged that they had made so many mistakes and told us that a manager would be over shortly to take care of us. Another 10 minutes goes by, no manager. We had to ask for the manager after they told us they were sending one over! To be fair, the manager on duty at that time did listen to our complainants and acknowledged they could have done better. She comped us 25%, but had our original server bring us the check another 15 minutes later. The server simply dropped our bill off and tried to leave without even thanking us for coming or apologizing for our experience??? Literally just dropped the checks off and walked away. At that point, we were made to feel as if we were the problem and not the horrible service they were able to provide. This is, of course, all without mentioning the food. The sandwiches do not even come with a side, and they are not nearly tasty enough or high enough quality to be serving burgers and sandwiches that you need to pay an extra $3 for fries. I would not in good conscience be able to recommend anyone to this place on Friday night. Perhaps on a week day when they have adequate time to pretend to care about their guests the food and service would be acceptable, but you’re likely better off spending your hard earned money somewhere that wants to treat you as a guest and...

Overall bad time. It wasn’t just one thing either, the problems didn’t stop. We waited for over 1.5 hours for a roof top table. The people that had the ONLY table that seats more than five people on their roof top was taken up by two guys that had no food, no drinks, and had been there for four hours already. We asked if the manager could ask them to move to the bar. They straight up said no the guys weren’t done and they would let ask if they could move to the bar. The manager with black hair and blue tips strutted up to us and was like “cAn i hElP yOu?!” And we explained that we’ve been waiting for over an hour and a half and the whole situation. She said the guys weren’t done. Then the two guys that were sitting at the five-seat table came downstairs and hugged the manager bc they knew each other.

Alright sweet the table is open... or so we thought. We didn’t get that table. The manager said no.

Fast forward to when we finally got a table... a server didn’t come for over ten mins. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and food right away since we had plenty of time to decide what we want while we waited. Got our drinks 20 mins later. Two people got food, and the other three meals came later. One of us ordered a salad with a steak. The salad came. The steak wasn’t there. We also didn’t have silverware so my friend couldn’t eat his salad until the waitress came and we asked. The waitress noticed he didn’t have his steak so she said she would grab the manager and bring the steak over. The steak finally came. The manager didn’t. We didn’t even ask for the manager, the waitress said she would stop by. She didn’t. We had to ask for the manager. Oh and the appetizer we ordered? Yea that order never came until all five of us were done with our meals. A drink order was also messed up. We reminded the waitress that she was going to send over the manager and acted like we were crazy to think that she would send the manager over.

A different manager came over. She was blonde and listened to our problems and was super nice about it. She offered to buy us a round of drinks but we were over the place so we’re like thanks but we wanna leave. She said she would go talk to the waitress and have her bring out bill. 20 mins later.... our bill came. The waitress slapped it on the table and walked away. No apology, no have a nice night, nothing but a nice eye roll and a strut back inside.

I have never written a review but the service was so...

We’re highly advised to check this restaurant out. However my experience was below what I had expected out of this restaurant. To start we waited for an hour and a half for a table, on which we later found out our table for 5 was being taken up by only 2 people who were camping out at this table, when we had come from out of town and were waiting. I work in the restaurant industry and this wouldn’t have ever happened to any of our guests, we would’ve asked the 2 at this larger table to move so we could accommodate for a larger party. A manager came and talked to us while we were waiting, and she was beyond rude and not accommodating to us what so ever with this table we had been waiting for, and we sat and observed and saw the two who were at our table and they came down and the manager even hugged them, so clearly they were friends if not regulars here, and they basically turned down more service for this restaurant. We were seated eventually, but not at the table we were told we’d get after waiting for forever. Within minutes of us sitting down another party who hadn’t been waiting nearly as long as we were came and were seated immediately and likely at the table we stayed around for and waited. Our table had no silverware and it took 10 minutes for the server to even greet our table. The drinks took 19 minutes to get from us first ordering them, and 4/5 were beer and the bar wasn’t even that busy. We ordered an appetizer and didn’t even receive that, we got the drinks first but then our entrees came immediately. We had to ask about the appetizer. We ordered a second round of drinks but they were all incorrect. One in my party ordered a salad with a steak, he didn’t get the steak until his salad was already finished. They only comped his salad, instead of his whole meal. The server said she would get a manager, but towards the end when it came to dropping our check off we had to ask where the manager was because they hadn’t yet stopped over. The manager listened, but then only took care of 25% off our check, which was already extremely high for having such terrible service. I am in this industry so I am highly compassionate and understanding with little mishaps, however this was more than one thing that happened to us in our whole hour and a half we were there. I had hoped for a better experience but was...

Great location! Good food and fast, friendly service Did I mention there's an upper level and outside dining! Addendum: My second visit was not as nice nor did I expect I was seated in the back (and I could just be sensitive) to wait till I got someone's attention for my order to be taken.. Once my waitress came she tells me she literally just got here and did not know the names of the soup they offered. By the time I paid my check, she'd not been courteous enough to find out and tell me which soup were served. Guess everyone has bad days; I know I have but it shouldn't get in the way of good customer experience. I want to give a shout out yes to this waitress and and all ppl serving in the food / restaurant industry esp post Covid. I don't believe its a smoothly operating job. As I've been to several places, and either they're short handed or closed d/t staffing shortage. Now my food was delivered and I get roasted potatoes not roasted vegetables as I believed I'd get - no explanation nor was I offered any ketchup. (Yes I could've simply requested it ) I had ordered the bowl of turkey chili. It was taken back twice bc it was tepid and not hot. Last time it was served, yes there was steam but it still wasn't hot or warm enough to be "chilli"; incidentally it didn't taste as fresh. I brought these things to attn of manager, Clarissa She seemed sincerely concerned, offering me more chilli or potatoes which I didn't desired neither; plus she stated she'd address my concerns. All in all, I felt that perhaps I would not have to experience this again bc this is such a novel and unique place that I plan to return. One bad apple shouldn't spoil consecutive visits. Yes time will reveal ... ..

We held our wedding reception at Barleygarden and Kitchen's rooftop and it was absolutely unforgettable, thanks to Acacia, Katie, and the entire team. From the initial planning stages, Acacia and Katie were incredibly accommodating and made the entire process seamless. They guided us through menu selections and even worked with us to create personalized his and her cocktails, which our guests loved. The food was exceptional—our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was. The staff truly delivered on every dish, and the presentation was impeccable. The serving staff were not only professional but also incredibly warm and attentive throughout the evening. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. After the festivities, the team continued to impress by assisting with the cleanup and ensuring that everything was taken care of the next day. Their attention to detail and commitment to making our night perfect did not go unnoticed. Our wedding reception at Barleygarden and Kitchen was more than we could have hoped for. It's a night we will cherish forever, thanks to the outstanding service and hospitality of the entire team. If you're looking for a venue that combines delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere, look no further than Barleygarden and Kitchen.

Always great to find a new place. Cool vibes, fun experience and absolutely fantastic food. Stacked a burger up with all the trimmings,so did the wife, and we destroyed them. Flipping phenomenal. Enough beer on tap to keep your whole friends list satisfied. Already planning a return trip. **edit** Return trip yielded some interesting fare. Quick food does not equivalate to good food. Pork rinds missed the mark, had an odd smell, and just didn't taste great overall. Not to mention they tasted like they came out of a bag and the toppings were an afterthought. Chicken sliders were completely void of flavor. Not good, not bad, just lacking. Had a go at the loaded fries, which would have been better without the turkey. Lesson learned. If we return for food, it's burgers or nothing. Beer was still on point, with a few new items added today. Might be the only reason we come back.
