Atmosphere: 4/5 As a patron who cherishes this culinary haven, one can’t help but wish for Sensu to expand its footprint. The limited space, while cozy, might hinder the ability to share this exceptional experience with a broader audience. The desire for more space stems not from a critique but from a longing to see Sensu continue providing its excellent service and cuisine to an even larger community of food...

My family and I waited at the front counter for nearly 10 minutes before being asked by the manager Tereasa if we were still waiting to be seated, which we were.
She told us to sit outside which is where we waited for about 30 minutes before my husband had to go inside to remind the staff we were waiting outside and just wanted to order some waters.
After being seated for an hour our waitress (Hinoko? Can’t remember, she never introduced herself) finally came to take our order at which point she informed us that we would be waiting for another 40 minutes for sushi.
Knowing this, my husband and I ordered sushi for ourselves and teriyaki chicken for our toddler. We requested that our toddler’s food be served first, as it was getting late and she was getting restless from waiting for so long thus far.
In complete disregard to our request, our sushi came out first, about an hour after we ordered. Our toddlers food came out probably 7 minutes AFTER ours.
I can understand being busy, but for the manager AND waitress to not only forget about you repeatedly but also not offer a real apology is wild.
Our waitress ignored us during the time we were waiting to get our food. No offer for refills, checking to see if we were ok, updates on wait time for food, or offers to submit appetizers.
The food was fine, but overpriced and served in small portions.
The only good part of our visit was the DJ for happy hour. He paid more attention to us than the restaurant staff! He was kind and received the tip that would have gone to our waitress had she provided any sort of quality service.
This restaurant is the worst experience we’ve had in Trilith. I’m sure Tereasa will comment saying to call the restaurant to make it up to us- just know that your business would be better off if you and your staff tried making a good...
Read moreThis should be a 4.5 Star review. Let’s talk sushi restaurants! Located in the beautiful heart of Trilith you will find many tasty restaurants and amongst them yo will locate Sensu. Small cool vibes exterior with a decent amount of occupancy inside. We popped in here w/o reservations on a Friday evening around 5:30 for my husbands birthday. We were greeted and sat immediately I’m assuming this is rare based off of another customers reaction that does dine in regularly to how slow it was on a Friday. Very visibly clean and more casual than I expected (I did over dress in my opinion). The drink menu was full of inventive drinks and I chose the ginger whiskey mule. Unfortunately, I did not like and I was unable to get a new drink without paying a second time. No exchanges if you don’t like your drink too bad, buy another or drink the one you got. That changed my 5 star review to 4.5.
We ordered a table full of fresh sushi. If you think you have tried good sushi you haven’t tried Sensu. I lived in the NW for awhile and Sensu comes close to fresh out of the water sushi. They have outdone themselves. The Sashimi was melt in your mouth INCREDIBLE. The service was wonderful, but the sushi takes the cake. Try this place your tastebuds will thank you.
