The Funky Shack Mercantile and Flower Market — Local services in Fayetteville

I can’t speak to their shop or flowers, but I tried getting ahold of them a couple times to get quotes for my wedding in September and never heard anything. It was very frustrating! I heard so many good reviews about Funky Shack and love their pictures so I was excited to possibly have them supply flowers for my wedding. I called the first time and the nice girl on the phone said the florist would give me a call back. Never heard anything and about a week went by. I called a second time and, I’m not sure if it was the same girl or not, but she got my email and sent over a questionnaire for the florist to get my style and said that the florist would give me a call back. That was Dec. 13th 🫤. Never got an email back after filling out the questionnaire or anything. All of the girls I talked to on the phone were super sweet, but seems like this florist isn’t the greatest at keeping in touch with customers. Dawn, Jen, and the whole team at Funky Shack are phenomenal. I’ve been buying their flowers for quite a while now, and they’re always great. The arrangements are lovely, and not your run of the mill ordinary florist or supermarket varieties/quality when it comes to what flowers they use. I no longer live in-state but they’re still my go-to for flowers for family or friends in the area, and I try to stop in when I’m in the area. They did the bouquets and provided the flowers for both my sister-in-law’s wedding and my own, and they were just gorgeous, with so many lovely colors and textures that fit exactly what we were looking for. They go above and beyond. They also do a super job with the non-floral shop aspects, with excellent and interesting products and vendors that make it a great place to gift shop. Update: All due respect to Dawn, the owner of Funky Shack. She called me after my review, and we had a great conversation. She truly wanted to understand what went wrong, so they could do a better job. I have great respect for this kind of a business person--sometimes things happen, and she truly wanted to do a great job. And they actually did. They delivered to my daughter-in-law a gorgeous arrangement, and she was thrilled. VERY HAPPY! Thanks Dawn. I really appreciate your going the extra mile to do a great job. Sent an arrangement to my daughter in law after reading reviews. Arrived to see a very small one-sided arrangement in a ball jar with a few flowers that I paid $100 for. Very disappointed. As a former florist, I am happy to pay for a nice bouquet. This wasn’t it. I am loathe to leave a hard review. But…...
