I came here a week when it first opened, it wasn't bad so for Georgia standards it was a win since it is hard to find decent west coast style mexican food here. Just can't get use to that gross tasting greasy flavorless cheese Georgia loves so dearly at mexican restaurant. The first time I got the fish tacos and bean and cheese burrito for my kids and so I had no compliants. Haven't been back to dine in but decided to try my luck at something else on the menu with take out. Order the loco nachos expecting to get a nice thing of nachos with black beans and everything else listed on them but instead I received for 15 dollars a half container of soggy chips soaked in that greasy nasty flavorless cheese. To charge 3 dollars more for nachos with sour cream, black beans and fresh lettcue, etc to receive soggy squash, zucchini and greasy cheese is enough for zero stars imo. Georgia please stop putting broccoli and squash and other veggies on vegetarian nachos...the standard fajita mix of peppers and onions is enough, no one should have to taste over cooked soggy veggies soaked in that greasy flavorless cheese. All the cheeses in the world and GA said give us the worst to use everywhere. I give it two stars because while the nachos were the wrong order and no black beans were included to mask the taste of dissappointment, (it was so bad I had to go home and add my own sour cream, black bean and fresh veggies to their soggy mess to make it edible); I order the enchilada and the loco rice for my kids to share..both had a weird taste, not great, my kids didn't eat it and when I tasted it later it taste like slight freezer burn. I don't believe a new restaurant would be warming up frozen items but I could be wrong. I just know the food got dumped which I felt bad about, it was a waste of $50 dollars. I don't think we will be back for another try. So honestly I will stick to making mexican food at home until I travel back west to get a good plate of tacos and nachos...I mean how can GA ruin...
Read moreAfter having an amazing experience at the Dunwoody location, my husband and I decided to visit this Fayetteville location. It was an early Saturday evening. Although we wanted to sit indoors with all of the available seats, the host put us outside saying that those seats were for people who had reservations. Those people never came. For outside else’s ring, they should invest in some sort of fly swatter. We were swatting flies the entire time.
Anyway, we both ordered street skillets. It is basically a fajita. I ordered mine with no steak. I also had a shaken pina colada that was pretty good. The rice and beans were excellent however, the skillet was horrible. There was absolutely no seasoning in the skillet. There were way too many vegetables and not enough protein. In fact, I believe they gave me more veggies instead of giving me more chicken or shrimp because I didn’t want the steak. It was like a soggy bed of veggies and steamed shrimp and chicken with no flavor. For the amount of money that you spend, they need to do better.
Not expecting anything, we shared our experience with the waitress. She was very apologetic and insisted that we wait to pay the bill until after she spoke with the manager. Well, she said the manager was tied up with a catering order. I think it was extremely unprofessional for the manager to not come out. Either way, we paid and left.
I can’t see returning this location. Spending that much money and not being satisfied was hard for me. Please season your food. I do not...
Read moreIt feels as if this establishment still us some kinks to work out….
Upon arrival, hand written notes are on the main door directing patrons to the patio entrance. Upon walking in, there is very little to not support on their front desk to seat patrons or assist with online/phone orders.
We opted for the bar and the bartender was friendly enough and greeted us with a smile. We ordered a bottle for mimosas, chicken and waffles and huevos divorcianos. The later of the two did not make it because the wrong order was brought out. Things happen! I opted to try what was presented because i could tell he was a bit overwhelmed.
The food was good enough.
There are some touches that need to be implemented here. Don’t serve glass bottle beverages without a glass of ice. Clean the bar area so that it is orderly and there are no cords, lidless items and etc to the view of patrons. Don’t serve ice to a patron after they have to ask with a trash bag in hand. Do trash out of sight of restaurant patrons. Have a front desk employee available at all times to greet and sit patrons as they walk in. Let people know the salsas are made in house and talk up the menu. People were asking these items while they dined near us.
From our experience, Management should not be putting additional stress on a already backed up bar without offering assistance first to help clear tickets.
This place has a wonderful location and huge potential. Would be nice to come back and see all the kinks...
