Buffet: $15. Per person, senior discounts, Not sure of the children's rates, but I'm fairly confident that they have them, they have carryouts, but no discounts applied to them.

This was a place that was recommended by someone who frequents this buffet style establishment. It's located in Banks Station near the Food Depot. It's pretty rustic, to say the least. Chairs are well worn. Not a huge place as you'd expect for a buffet, but more like cozy... Ample seating though. The people are very gracious, and the food is absolutely southern in all respects. Salad bar is available too. I found cabbage, greens, fish, fried chicken, corn, corn pudding, corn bread, home style hush puppies, spaghetti, peach cobbler, ice cream, etc. All around Southern cooking at its best. Service was top notch. You'll be taken aback by the way it looks inside, but the food will allay any lingering thoughts of the decor. Seafood specialities are served in the evenings, not at lunch. I will update these photos and do video...

A good example of what it's trying to be.

Visit enough restaurants and you'll surely see examples where the staff and owners don't care. Not here. The food is hot, plentiful, with reasonable variety, and at a good price. The staff friendly and attentive, without a fault. No knocks on any of it.

And yet, I'd be lying if I said any of it wowed me. The food was fine, but nothing for which I longed for a recipe. There were plenty of choices, but at no point did I think "they really cater to __". (Insert "low carb", "low cal", "vegan", etc.) It was just a buffet of satisfying southern food.

And that's fine. It's fine to be fine. Especially at under $10 (including drink, excluding tip). I just try to think who I would recommend Tim's to. Not for getting a specific dish or for avoiding a specific food. So I guess I'm left with this:

Go to Tim's Country Cooking if...

Oh my gosh... WORST FOOD EVER! This place is awful. We were so disappointed. I would never recommend anyone to go here. It honestly felt like the mess hall at a retirement home. It was dark, musky and deathly quiet! Salad bar was pitiful. Food selection was just plain gross! Look at my other reviews yall! I rarely give 1 star reviews!!! I cannot express enough the absolute danger to eating here! I am SHOCKED this place is even in business! I even told my wife we needed to contact the local health department lol! I dont even feel bad leaving this review. I PRAY yall take this to heart... this place WILL make you sick! All of us were in the bathroom after!! The only thing we enjoyed was our conversation with the cashier. She was sweet. Oh and we are pretty sure the 5 star reviews are either employees or friends and families of the employees. YOU HAVE...

I'm in town for work and wanted some good soul food. This restaurant was recommended and had good reviews. I was extremely disappointed and pretty sick to my stomach the food did not taste good and it was mold all throughout the ceilings and all the air vents. The ceiling above the buffet area had mold on the drop ceiling panels. The fried chicken taste like it had been fried and old dirty oil.

Tim's Country Cooking was our Corvette Club's new venue for our monthly meeting. This was our (my wife and I) first visit, and we were not disappointed. The fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, salad bar, etc. were our personal favorites. Their dessert choices were peach cobbler, banana pudding, and spectacular cinnamon rolls. Highly recommend.
