Belle South Event Space — Local services in Fayetteville

I recently rented Belle South Event Center for my husband's 60th surprise birthday party. While the event center provided adequate space, they fell short on meeting my expectations and customer satisfaction. When I booked, I selected to use the center's in-house decorator/event coordinator (BeFancyEvents). While Belle South advertises "Our mission is to bring your vision to life." That is a just a statement. I contracted and had numerous conversations, follow up phone calls with BeFancyEvents, my event was thrown together in a matter of a couple of hours. No care to meet the theme I shared, no custom centerpieces (which I paid for) and the 60 bday sign was not lit. This event was a milestone, and I trusted what I saw advertised on their site. I must admit I ignored red flags and trusted the professional to be creative based on feedback I provided and their reassurance they understood my vision, however 1) upon signing the contract I was told they decorate the night prior and send me a picture ---did not happen; 2) scheduled a pre-event walk-through a week prior to the event with BeFancyEvents and my caterer--BeFancyEvents no show, the caterer and I had to talk to the owner by phone, what we requested was not totally fulfilled; 3) two days before the event I called BeFancyEvents was told they had an event the night prior so they would decorate early am the day of the event and would be finished by 2:00 pm---did not happen. My family had to step in to add finishing touches. BeFancyEvents allowed the owner to handle my complaints and refused to return my call. I would advise anyone who rents from Belle South Event center to secure your own decorator. Every event is important, when you spend your hard-earned money supporting community entrepreneurs and businesses, excellent service is a must. I was looking for a spot last minute to move my sister's surprise glam picnic to and fortunately this venue was available. I thank ed the person that reached out to me for being so accommodating and coming to my rescue. There were several venues around that were just as nice and cheater buy they were all booked.

Although the venue was nice there were several things that will not make me use this facility again or recommend it for use. It's 250 an hour with a 3 hour minimum meaning you are left to pay 250 for set up and clean up if you want an decent time to party. She did give us 6 hours for the price of 4. Additionally she offered to arrive 30 min before but she did not hold up to that end. Needless to say the caterer decorators ballon designer artist and dj were left to set up in a heated building . Apparently there is a camera located in the building because she called me an hour after we were suppose to leave to tell me we were over time and that were supposed to start breaking down at 10:30 since we had to be out by 11.we started break down around that time but it took longer than expected. I recently hosted a baby shower at this hall, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we booked the venue, the staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful, making the planning process smooth and enjoyable.
